Review summary

I will probably never cruise again, it's just not my thing.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
stressful - it would be helpful if the exact location of the ship is provided and how to get there. We had to hail a taxi after waiting in the wrong bus line - communication could have been better.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The drinks were fine although very pricey - the food is sub-par, like college dining hall food.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We were only on the ship one day - and just sat by the pool, walked the decks, and went to a show. it was fine.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
A few bands were good, the karaoke competition was good, other than that were no "shows".

Children's Programs

We had no children with us

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
All of the staff are very nice -

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
the ship is old - you can tell there are many areas where paint is falling off, the bathrooms are tiny and old, the carpets are old, it's just not worth the money we paid.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Too small for three adults - the bathroom especially was too small. None of are large people, and I couldn't bend to touch my feet in the shower.

Ship tip

Don't do it. You could visit italy and greece more cheaply on your own, and stay in the areas that you like. One day in each port is just not enough.

Ports of call

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
This is also very misleading. We chose to do our own thing rather than follow the schedule we were given, and it was very easy to get off the ship. We kept our luggage with us, and had no trouble getting an elevator. It's very unrealistic for the ship to take your luggage the night before, that just adds a lot more stress, and I'm glad we didn't do it.

We are on this ship/itinerary in 2 weeks and so excited! Our first small/older ship, but for us it’s all about the ports we visit. We make the best of each cruise, whether it’s a large ship like Freedom of the Seas(amazing!) or smaller Celebrity Reflection(okay). Hope you give cruising another try!

Enchantment of the Seas is a pretty small ship. The larger Royal ships have more to offer. May try a bigger one before you decide not to cruise!

Cruising’s not for everyone, at least you tried it. You could always try another size ship and/or another cruiseline in future. Apart from the varied size and activities on different ships within each line, some lines also offer packages that are more all inclusive with drinks and speciality dining, all depends what you’re looking for. Some of the ports you visit are really expensive individually, I like that cruising gives a flavour of what the place is like so you can decide if you want to go back.
