Not to be concerned about the issues with the Medallion. Once you get to the ship, they will have the Medallion for you.

It is an older ship, but we were happy with our room and all events and areas.

Take a bag of wrapped candy and hand it out to crew. I gave small handfuls to crew we especially liked as well as ones who didn’t interact with passengers. The joy a few pieces of chocolate gave to staff made my day.

Be ready to enjoy yourselves, relax and have a good time. The medallion app worked well when I figured out how to use it properly, i.e. make sure all other applications are closed.
