Review summary

Princess is trying to make up for the revenue loss of the pandemic on the backs of its passengers. Service is down, food quality is down, and the overall experience has been drastically reduced from our previous 39 cruises with Princess.

Menus have been downsized, as has the portions. Many favorite offerings no longer appear on the menu. The buffet is very Asian/Indian skewed. Menus are often repetitive. ve menus

Only 3 production shows in 14 days. Other times, the theater had mediocre entertainment; i.e. singers, magicians, etc.. Very disappointing!

Service and Staff

Much of the staff was indifferent and lackadaisical. Passenger Services desk was totally ineffectual, taking 2 days to get water delivered to my cabin. My luggage didn't arrive till 10PM on the 1st. day. Purser's desk could neither resolve nor explain the issue. It was because our cabin was changed by Princess without informing us.

Appreciate your detailed feedback. Sorry you were so disappointed. I’m sure the cruise lines are trying to make up for their losses AND give the passengers the best possible experience. Imagine how high their food bill is now with the rising costs across the country. I don’t know about your grocery bill, but ours are s substantially more. I can’t fathom what the cruise lines are paying.

With the exception of the crew my last Discovery Princess cruise was about the same. They better be careful, I can see loyal people switching to Holland or Celebrity. I always select no upgrade on the cabin but a year ago, my cabin of choice was changed for a covid restricted area. I understand it but still a kick in the pants. I book early and know exactly where I want to be, their opinion of an upgrade drastically differs from mine. I'm giving it a few more tries but bye bye Princess if they don't bring back the quality and classy experience. Hopefully yours will improve! Happy cruising.

Yes this was very helpful. My cousin and I who is vision impaired have been on 7 cruises with Carnival and were thinking of trying another cruise line. Our last cruise was in October of 2022. This was our first since COVID and we cruised to Hawaii. We were very disappointed. The food was not good. It was a 14 day cruise and they had several entertainment venues scheduled for the same times. We were not happy.
