Review summary

Some of our favorite things on the ship were Outriggers bar on deck 15 aft, pool on deck 14 aft, Wheel House Bar deck 7, and casino. Princess is still working out the kinks with the app, Medallion, and drink package. We had a few issues that were remedied by visiting Guest Services throughout the cruise.

Bar service was excellent. The food in the World Fresh Marketplace was ok. A lot of the same things from day to day. Dining room service was good and food was decent. We ate at a specialty restaurant, Crown Grill, service was extremely slow and steaks were average at best. I wouldn’t recommend it for the extra cost.

General daily trivia and music trivia events were a lot of fun. Pool at back of ship on deck 14 was wonderful and we used it daily. Fitness center was good and had a decent variety of equipment.

It was a good cabin. Our room Stewart, Francisco was excellent. There was extra vibration on days at sea being at the aft.

Ship tip

Wheel House Bar was excellent at night. Good entertainment and bar service.

Overall Cartagena was nice. Be aware that while walking around the town, there are a lot of beggars and people trying to sell all sorts of things.

Did our own 2 hour taxi tour with Tony, right outside the port. He took us to see and feed the white face monkeys, to his town, Esparza, and to an old suspended bridge. Very nice local tour.

Appreciate your detailed feedback. Glad you mostly enjoyed your Canal transit. Sorry you had medallion issues. On our Princess cruise, mine worked great however, my DH always had issues.
