Familiarize yourself with the ship early. Also spend sometime before the cruise to book excursions

Explore on day 1.

The very back of the ship has a small pool and chairs facing the sea. An ideal spot!

This is a great ship for someone who wants a relaxed and low key vacation.
magglesk
Book it. Great ship and no regrets.

Enjoy yourself!! Relax and go with the flow.

It’s a large ship - when you first board, use the few hours to have a look around and suss things out, and of course, enjoy a drink or two.

It's not immediately clear that you need to book ahead for the Salty Dog, Planks, and Steamers because they're not offered online unlike the other dining venues. However, you do need to, even if it's only earlier in the day you'd like to dine.
Gorgie
Go on a different Princess Ship. I would never go on the Emerald again because of the rude staff.

1. The photographs are incredibly expensive (even with the package). Def. NOT worth it at $15 per photo!!! 2. Be sure to book at least an extra day pre-cruise in whatever city you are flying into. Huge stress reliever!

It’s a nice ship. Just enjoy.

Enjoy fellow cruisers from all over the world.

This ship is not the destination given its current state which is mediocre at best, would book only if your planning on visiting those ports within the itinerary, otherwise book after they refurbish her.

Just do it!

Use the Do Not Disturb card if you dont want them walking in your room. They knocked then opened the door. I was getting dressed...

Research the ports you are going to visit and plan excursions either with the ship or on your own.

A good ship without all the bells & whistles!

Pace yourself, there's so much to do!

Very similar to Grand Princess. Nice ship.

Pick another ship, preferable a newer one. I've sailed princess before and other ones (sapphire) are very nice.
