Review summary

DisEmbarkation was as disorganized as the embarkation was organized. We had transfers booked with Princess to our hotel. We didn’t know if we had to pick up our luggage or if it was being directly sent. We had no idea where to find the transportation that we had paid for. It was very confusing. Could have been handled better. Overall good trip with one very disappointing dining experience.

Embarkation

Very well organized. Princess staff directing passages so no guessing where to go or what line to get in.

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food in general was ok. We did however have 2 specialty dining experiences which were polar opposites. Curtis Stone Share restaurant was wonderful. Every thing was meticulously made and tasted amazing. We had high expectations for our second dining experience at the Crab Shack but they were quickly dashed. We had an early seating and were promptly put at a seat with the sun blazing in the window. We asked if they could lower the shade. Oh no they are only decorative. So some of our party sat with sun in their eyes throughout the meal. The menu was very limited. One appetizer and soup. No choice. There were only a few main courses which were also limited. We should have guessed how the food would be when another passenger complained that the food was inedible. She was correct. We shared our dissatisfaction with the host and he offered us something else. NO! It was all bad. He just said sorry and walked away. We later complained to guest services and they handed us a comment card and told us we could fill it out! Guess Princess doesn’t have a strategy for customer complaints. We did fill out the comment card but not sure if it will be read. Left a bad taste literally in our mouth.

Onboard Activities

Ok but with an Alaskan Cruise there is not a lot of swimming and sunning weather so more activities Would have been nicer.

You always have to pick up your luggage because you have to take it through customs. They cannot take it for you.
