2019 Fantasy Cruise by kitcat

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Fantasy / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Looking forward to our next DCL cruise. Wanted to do Palo Brunch but no reservations left, will reserve early on line next time. Not too keen on the Star Wars Day at sea, would prefer Marvel, but we will look into it. Overall love the DCL cruises never have issues with sickness, they keep an extremely clean ship, staff is always cleaning and making guests wash hands.

Great fun on the Disney Fantasy by Cmncemt

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Disney Fantasy

Plan ahead and book excursions early they sell out fast. Even with less then 2000 people onboard lots of things sold out. I would NOT use go port ever again, they up-charged us almost 900$ for private car service for 7 people and assured us it was 2 separate cars. Nope and old rattle trap van where we all squeezed into! So our transportation and hotel rooms for one night was almost 3000$ for 6 adults and one child. Avoid that company

Expecting much more for price! by MrsCee

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Fantasy / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Very nice ship. Cabins were small, but plenty of storage. I especially liked under bed for luggage. Balconies were also very small. I didn't like Eastern Caribbean itinerary for children, St. Marteen & St. Thomas, as not many shore excursions foe young children. We did the beach on St. Marteen & Butterfly Garden on St. Thomas. The beaches are nice on St. Thomas but we were there many times. Castaway Cay the children loved, as did we. Lunch was great & the pirate ship play area in the water. Lifeguards & secure area in the water. Plenty of lounge chairs & umbrellas. All activities were cancelled on Castaway Cay due to wind. (Not very windy). We wanted a Cabana but they only have 20 & to get one you have to be a member of Castaway Cay, which is their club for numerous Disney cruises. They charge $549..

Back to the Fantasy. The pools were extremely small for a ship of that size. The kids were packed like sardines in the pools. Adult pool was small also. We did not use adult pool for that reason. They had  splash areas for small children. Children in swim diapers are not allowed in the pool.

I didn't care for the dining. You rotate dining in different restaurants with the same servers. Our servers were good. All the staff was great! Food was good. Cabanas, the buffet restaurant was ok. Always had to search for a table as it was crowded for breakfast & lunch. Nice variety of food. However one day a girl puked right in front of us & we called for help. I feel they should have closed that side of the restaurant immediately. She puked more than once. We are still sick. We got sick on our last morning & our still not symptom free. Norovirus. The other little food court type restaurants were not very good. They had Philly cheesesteaks, not good, hamburgers, hot dogs, chicken fingers, fries, bagged potato chips & a small bar for condiments for burgers, hot dogs & steak. They had pizza too. Nothing was very good & long lines.

I also didn't like the fact that you had times & locations for Characters, always lines. They should have been walking around the ship & in dining restaurants. Shows were ok. Movies were first run, but you had to pay for popcorn, $3.50.

Pirate night by the pools, which they closed the floor over the pools to fir more people, were completely packed with people. I couldn't stay as I felt like I couldn't breath with so many people.

My honest opinion not worth all the money Disney charges. We have cruised on Royal Caribbean many times, Holland,(not kid friendly) & Princess. All were good & much less expensive.

Extraordinary adventure by kmmsummers

The cruise was great! The only thing I didnā€™t like was the constant motion. That is one wobbly ship.

Our Grandslam Cruise on the Fantasy! by MaelstromTroll

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Fantasy

This was our grandslam cruise with Disney having been on all the ships. We still call the Wonder our home ship but the Fantasy is larger, has more amenities, and 10/10 customer service. Every staff member that makes eye contact greets you, the entertainment director walked around after shows meeting people, the characters randomly walk around the ship making for fun, impromptu meets, and the food was very good. Would do it again in a heartbeat.

Best experience for 1st time cruisers by TwinDuty2012

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Fantasy / Destination: Caribbean - Western

For our first cruise, we were so pleased and had a blast. Overall great experience for us all. Would definite recommend for anyone. We booked our next cruise for Feb 2019. We are hooked. While I love Disney I never enjoyed the parks but know Iā€™ve found a whole new way to enjoy and regain a new love of Disney. Best part is even adults can be kids.

Disney is the best (as if you didn't already know that) by DragonFi

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Fantasy / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Disney is always fun for both adults and kids. They know how to entertain and keep that entertainment rolling from stepping onto the ship until you step off. The staff is fantastic and carry that Disney spirit with them in all areas from cleaning to cabins to restaurants to bar staff. Fantastic food, great entertainment, quiet time for adults, loud time for kids and even fun for the youngest members in the nursery. Can't beat a Disney cruise!

Great trip by greglissadisney

As always Disney does it right, from boarding to getting off the ship is smooth and stress free, make sure you have right documents for boarding and this will be trouble free. Enjoy sea days as they are so relaxing, plenty of food 24/7, staff ( including those who have nothing to do with you ) are friendly and always speak and say good morning, ship is spotless and take a yeti cup, the ones they provide at drink station are small and your drink will be watered down in no time, you will save wasted cups and wasted watered down drinks

Evan In A Hurricane, Still great! by FamilyCruisers

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Fantasy / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was our second time on the Disney Fantasy. We missed Castaway Cay which was such a bummer. But the staff made the best of it. Kids had a blast and so did we. Only complaint was debarkation. We were assigned breakfast at 7:15. And if you missed it you didn't get breakfast. What a made house. We were finally able to leave at 11:27am.

Fantasy is Fantastic! by cruisersforlife

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Fantasy / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Disney Fantasy is a beautiful ship to sail anywhere on!  The service was wonderful and there was always something to do aboard ship.  As with all Disney cruises, the experience was great fun for the whole family and we plan on many more cruises on all the Disney ships.

Amazing family cruise with something for everyone. The activities are plentiful, the characters are entertaining, the shows/cast.and design are Broadway worthy. The food in the main dinning and Cabanas is more than good and plentiful.

Magically Relaxing! by ddsteuck

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Disney Fantasy / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

Disney has the finest ships afloat today. Their cleanliness and the attention from the crew is unsurpassed by any other cruise line. The cost of the cruise is similar to a vacation on shore when considering the food, activities and tours available. We will being cruising with Disney again and plan to travel on each ship. We've already completed the Wonder and Fantasy with the Magic and Dream left.

First cruise was a success šŸš¢ by liza77

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Fantasy

It was a great first cruise. Celebrating my 40th and my momā€™s 60th. We picked DCL because both my son and I are avid Disney fans and go to the parks yearly. My son spent most of his days at the Edge. On sea days my mom and I spent our day at the Rainforest. Absolutely best first cruise ever, from food, to service, to cleanliness, to entertainment.

FIrst Disney Cruise by ldesantis

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Fantasy / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

This was a great cruise even traveling without kids.  I travelled with a friend and her family (husband, daughters, son in law and 2 grandchildren under 2).   The adult areas are very well sound proofed and provide a perfect escape when necessary.  Disney really caters to all age groups.

Great for the family by ryanslloyd

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)

We really enjoyed every day on our cruise. Our children live the onboard activities, playing the in pools while watching movies, meeting other children, having nice beach days at the port calls, and falling asleep at night with chocolate and movies in bed!
