This Cruise was Amazing by chastityclevela

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was my first Disney for my family and I and it will not be our last. It was amazing and worth every penny. You often hear people say that Disney Cruises are too expensive but Disney gives you a amazing experience from the shows, to the food, entertainment it was all wonderful.

Very enjoyable cruise ! by tlbearden

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Have been on all the Disney ships. We cruise every year. It has been years since we took our last Disney cruise as our last cruise was when the fantasy first came out and it was one of our worst cruises so we have been sailing on other cruise lines but decided last minute to take a short cruise and the timing was perfect for this cruise on the Dream. It was a great choice ! They have really stepped it up. We have been on many other cruise lines and the Dream by far had the best food....was excellent ! Our wait stall was one of our best along with our cabin stuart. Of course Disney keep their ships beautiful and everyone took the time to say hi and were very helpful. Just what you expect from Disney. As per the room, it was a balcony so was cramped as we are use to a suite but it was only my husband and I so we were fine. Our children are grown so I can't comment on their chilrens activities but I'm sure they are great. They are pricey so that's my only complaint. Really had a great time and only wish it were longer !

This was my first cruise in Disney Dream. Exceptional service , fantastic food and plenty of adult only areas.  I could not believe how clean this ship was.  We can't wait to book our next Disney cruise.

For this being our 1st cruise- we really enjoyed ourselves! Loved every moment. My son enjoyed most the kids club!!! Open from 9am-12am for his specific age group. The different pool areas were also a favorite of ours! I do NOT swim at all- but I found myself in a swimsuit & in the water everyday of my vacation! The rooms were nice! We had a category 4b room with balcony which was very private! Te room was also spacious.

My review about this ship is pretty good. I had a nice time, enjoyed the show, the water, the food. I would recommend this cruise to a first timer, and I would say kids are very welcome. Hope this helps.

Disney Dream by ilove2cruise642

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The ship and the rooms were very nice and a lot more spacious than the inside staterooms I've stayed in when on two other cruise lines. The inside stateroom had a porthole camera. The food was delicious. The bars had premium alcohol and the children had an awesome time.

Disney Does it Right by DisneyisforU

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Our family just returned from our 3rd Disney cruise. Last year we tried another cruise line (Norweigan) and were disappointed. it was a nice vacation, but excellence is in the details, and Disney does it right! Disney truly is a worry-free cruise. Every step of the on-baording process is orchestrated so that there is no waiting. Excursions are well-structured and guided so that you are not left wondering which way to go. Every employee exudes the magical experience that Disney promises to each family. Every girl is a princess, every boy is a pirate, and every adult is stress-free. No matter your age or your family structure, Disney will make sure your vacation surpasses all of your expectations.

Plenty of Family Fun by tcmbondy

It’s a great option for families, particularly those with young kids. There were plenty of characters for the kids to meet every day. The special Marvel Day was great.

Never again! by Ketchup57

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Dream

Before I start my review, I want to mention that this cruise was my 15th and my first, and last, with Disney Cruse Line. We went to sail on the Disney Dream departing from Fort Lauderdale on Dec 9 2023. We were a party of 5, 3 adults and 2 kids of 6-7 years old. Since we didn't do the online check-in, we we able to get on the ship only at around 4PM. Guess without the online check-in had to wait in line up until 3PM to be able to get assistance to complete the check-in. I'm fine with that, but when you have 2 kids woken up since 7AM, in a town you don't know, it is not a walk in the park to keep your cool... All the other cruise companies I tried, Royal Caribbean (10 times approx.), Celebrity and Norwegian we we're able to be on the ship the latest at 11AM, which makes way more sense to me. We we're automatically scheduled for the 8:15PM dinner. Again, 2 kids of 6-7 years old with us, when do you expect they would be sleeping? Probably around that time... I complained to guest service, the restaurant assistant manager, the restaurant manager, my room steward and also the manager of a boutique I bought some sandals for my son. Nobody could/would do anything to accommodate us. The 2 kids and their age we're known from the moment we booked the cruise 6 months ago, it's a complete non-sense to me that there is no automatic priority for the early dining option at 5:45PM for all the cabins with kids under 10 years old. That was the biggest disappointment. We went to the 8:15PM dinner once, on the last day and the food and service was ok, nothing impressive. I still looked at the menu of the dining everyday of the cruise and I was surprised to see the menu doesn't rotate or have special daily meals on it. All the other cruise companies I cruised with always had at less 2-3 different options from day to day apart from the fixed "most popular" items on it. The only dining option we had was hot dogs, hamburgers, chicken tenders and grilled chicken for the whole week because the only opened restaurant apart from the main dining rooms is a burger joint... 4000$ for 5 days for burgers and fries for dinner! The buffet, which had the best food quality and taste I had on any ship I went yet (congrats for that Disney!) was closed for dinner... Why? People stuck on the bad dining time like us would have enjoyed more food variety... The characters are available several times throughout the cruise but make sure to come early in line not to invest 30 minutes to 1 hour of your day for just a couple of pictures. Not many characters we're available, Mickey, Minnie, Donald, Daisy, Goofy, Pluto, Chip & Dale, some Disney princesses but weirdly nothing from Marvel. The fireworks we're nice but to keep your kid woken up until 10:30-45 PM to watch a 2 minutes show is not the best way to accommodate the young passengers. I don't recommend this cruise line unless you have Disney's blood that circulates in your veins or if you are ready to reserve everything in advance and invest time to see the characters you like. Never again for me and I don't recommend at all.
