Disney Dream Cruise by Cathyw36946903

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Disney Dream is a beautiful, new ship. The staff were impressive and the cabins were beautiful. Plenty of on board activities but some were pricey. The ship has areas for adults only so you can get away from the crowds. Deck four outside seating was beautiful.

A Great Time For Kids by TinaT71188290

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Overall, we really enjoyed ourselves. There were only a few things I thought should be better.....larger pool size to accomodate the many thousands of people aboard, the food quality was not that good and at times cold (buffets). The staff was wonderful-very friendly and courteous. The entertainment was by far the best. Castaway Cay was beautiful with lots of fun activities. We did not venture out to Nassau-my 11 year old daughter was a little frightened by locals offering taxi service, horse and carriage rides, hair braiding, etc. You are probably better off booking a shore excursion to other areas of the island than to shop around near port.

A Happy July 4 on the Disney Dream by 2disneydads

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The Dream is a beautiful ship with classic design elements and technological sophistication. The three dining rooms and buffet food court turn out excellent food. The cruise, dining and housekeeping staffs provide warm, friendly and attentive service. The youth program continues to be exceptional, with many activities for children, tweens and teens. There are numerous entertainment and enjoyment opportunities for adults. Our 4 nights were way too short to take in all that the Dream has to offer!

Disney's Dream by BonnieS2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Ship was beautiful and clean. Stateroom size was small but use of space was good. It was crowded in the pool areas and pools were very small. The main attraction the AquaDuck was just ok and the wait time was about 45 minutes for a 1 minute ride. Just like the parks. It was different but not wort the wait. I would say this cruise is geared for smaller children. My two young teens just played in the arcade area and minigolf. As for the food, it was ok and had your all ameican favorites. Dinner for me was terrible. The food was cold and not what I expected. I would rather eaten at the fast food stations.

The Dream was a Mirage! Bad Cruise!! by SaddenedB

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Disney product all over the ship, except in the areas that you would've expected Disney to have perfected: Customer service and dining experiences. The quality and taste of the food was shockingly disappointing and the customer service was minimal, at best. Waiters did not go out of their way to provide anything that was not within their defined work zones. For example, a beverage available on deck 3, was not served on Deck 11 and no one tried to get it even though it was on the same ship. Another example was the Disney gratuities form which defined why a tip should be given to the server: "This person takes your order and delivers your food." Well, most other cruises have servers who create ambience and cultivate an unforgettable dining experience for the guests. Not here. The food and the service are best forgotten. . . Also, kids menus each night featured chicken fingers, mac n cheese, few veggies, etc. My kids like trying new foods, like escargot, pate, vegetable quiche, etc. No choice on the Disney cruise unless we explicitly ordered for them from the adult menu that the kids were not provided. Lastly, only two (2) pools for families/kids, though half the passengers were kids who generally are water-captivated. Kids were climbing over each other like crabs in a bucket! Bad scene. Overall, suprisingly, regrettably disappointing.

Disney is he best! by RhondaJ

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This is the best cruise line that I have ever sailed. Although it costs a tad bit more than some of the other lines, it is worth every penny. We got a great deal through BJ's travel and will definetly sail again. This cruise is not just for the kids but for adults as well.

Fabulous Ship by ToriasM

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The new Disney Dream really is a dream!! It's a beautiful ship with wonderful activities for all...lots of choices for both kids and adults. My daughter loved the tween club and the pool and AquaDuck was a real winner, although the line wasn't fun! Even the port excursions were made easier by the staff and crew. However, some of the food was less than stellar quality and one or two servers seemed too rushed to give much attention. In fairness, most were at the end of their six month commitment without a day off the entire time, so I'm not sure I blame them. Clearly, Disney puts their money into families, so if you have younger children, definitely consider a Disney cruise! Worth the $$$

As Expected from Disney by DonW2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The ship was beautiful and the amenities were great. They had some great extras like a very fun water slide (the "AquaDuck") and phones that families could use while on the ship and at Castaway Cay. The entertainment, as expected, was very good. The service at dinner was exceptional, as was the service provided by our room attendant.
