Disney Delight by Edgar

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Great family experience on a very nice ship. The Disney folks have convinced me they really care about their customers which I find to be unusual these days. You have to look hard to find short comings on this ship. The only one I could find was the shortage of electrical outlets.

Disney Dream by christiw97

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Wow what a "Dream".  We had the best time on our Disney Cruise.  Nothing else compares to this cruise line.  The food, service, room, and activities were amazing.  Couldn't believe how many character experiences were available.  We got to meet every character without the long lines and hour waits in the Disney Parks.  Once you go on this cruise you will never be able to go on another cruise line because this one is exceptional.  I want to go back.  Wish I was still on the cruise now.

Our first cruise.......a dream on the Disney Dream! by jbmay47

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

I was always fearful to go on a cruise.  But a chance came along for my husband and I to join our family on the Disney Dream.  Because it was Disney, I was excited not afraid!

From the moment we were welcomed aboard, everyone treated us with such kindness.  Throughout the whole time on board, we were treated in full Disney fashion, like royalty.

Absolutely nothing to complain about...and I did look! by karen784

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

We have already decided on our next Disney Cruise!

In short: everything was outstanding.. The service, food, ship and crew appearance , character interaction, entertainment options, EVERYTHING! I cannot recommend this cruise highly enough. Castaway Cay is spotless, the beach looks like it has been combed and the floats and equipment are well maintained, and clean.

The 18+ areas are wonderful: spa, gym, clubs and bars enable you to do this cruise and barely see a child.

If you can, please do this once in your life.

A Little Disappointed by beckyhunt37

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was our third Disney cruise.  We have cruised other cruised lines too.

we board the ship at around 11 am and  got our cabin around 2pm.  Everybody was I the same shape.  This made the pool, which was small, area very crowded.   The Buffett area was crowded too.  Everybody was in one of those two places.

the service was not up to Disney par at dinner.

Disney Does It Right! by ellencornell1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Second time on Dream even better than the first time. Girls were both able to go to the club now, familiar with everything, and weather was great. Only one negative. Shows were the same as two years ago. Would be better to change them more often for returning guests.

Awesome Cruise by sewawesome

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

This was the first time we did a Disney cruise. It was the best food ever! The rooms were huge compared to other cruise lines and shows were wonderful! We were 19 total with children ranging from 1yr to 18yrs. Everyone had a great time. The only complaint I have is there is not enough pool space for all the kids onboard. Other than that a great cruise experience!

25th Anniversary and first cruise! by dwren66

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Everything about this trip was amazing and we can't wait to cruise again with Disney! The excursions were wonderful (we did the sea lion encounter at Atlantis and spent the day feeding sting rays, biking and lounging on the adult only beach on Castaway Cay), the staff were all very friendly, the food was out of this world, the ship was clean and beautiful...I don't have enough space for all the good I want to say!

Here's why we didn't give it a full 5 stars: while we appreciate the diversity of the staff (everybody's name tag showed their country of origin and there were folks from ALL over the world!), this presented a significant language barrier in probably 40-50% of our interactions. It really created some stress. Also, our "cabin host" (housekeeping) didn't get our verbal and nonverbal cues when we didn't have time to stand around and chat. Finally, there was a mix up at Atlantis: some of us were not alerted when the bus left the cruise ship to take us to the resort. To their credit, someone from Disney did happen to notice the group of us standing around and eventually got us where we needed to be!

The best parts: the view from our stateroom veranda, Palo' s restaurant (thank you for a wonderful experience with our amazing waiter Luis), Castaway Cay, the sea lion encounter at Atlantis, and our awesome waiters Charlie and Galan!  We are definitely hooked on Disney cruises and will see you again soon for a cruise to Alaska!

Best Vacation Ever!!! by VacationMomma

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

It was WONDERFUL....worth every penny.  Beautiful ship....with all of those kids running around the cleanliness was unbelievable.  Top notch customer service; they thought of every little detail.  The ship is huge and tons of activities both kid and adult only friendly so you don't feel crowded.  Disney's private island is beautiful.  It has adults only beaches and you can drop your little ones off with no extra charge. Large selection of food (healthy options as well). I would highly recommend it!!

A "Dream" Cruise Vacation by Richardschafer

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

Our family cruise was wonderful> Can"t say enough about the entire trip. The crew was perfect. The only change I would like to see is spending two days at the private island instead of a day at sea . The castaway cay island was the "gold star" of thge trip for the entire family.

A Great Thrill for Grandparents by offwego

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

It was wonderful for my husband and myself to see our 4 grandchilren all at the same place at the same time having a wonderful time.  As we grow older we realize that these are the special times in our lives and we want to make the most of it.  Having our children was great too but nothing compares to 4 bright shiny faces looking at you with broad smiles.  It was a wonderful opportunity for all of us.  Here's to future Disney cruises.

Disney Dream Cruise by Ourcruise

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Disney Dream / Destination: Caribbean - Bahamas

The Disney Dream lives up to its title. I did a 3 day Bahamas and Cast away Cay sailing Feb,2014. I cruised with 6 passengers 3 in each stateroom. One navigators verandah the other a family verandah. The family stateroom was larger with a larger balcony but the navigator size was big enough and was partially covered with a partition. The partition worked well as a cover due to very high winds the final night. I have cruised Carnival,Norwegian and Royal Caribean without any problems. No ship I have ever been on was as clean as the Dream. There was so much for everyone to do. The 70 something's loved bingo and the spa. Myself and the other 40 something loved the spa and the adult only areas. The kids 11 and 13 loved the aqua coaster and pools. We all loved the shows the 1st run movies in the beautiful movie theatre and a different live show every night, lots of family time games and dances.   The pirate party and von voyage party were  super fun for all ages. Room service was awesome the cheese tray with fruit plate divine. The cons the kids were bored with the kids clubs and thought Edge was boring as well. Dinner in the rotating dining rooms was nice to look at but food was just so so. 1 waiter and 1 assistant for 6 people with a 4 course dinner makes service slow. However food at the buffet was always fresh, hot and good  with more than enough staff. Cast away Cay was stunning and we had great time even though those high winds kept the beach closed. I am not a huge fan of Nassua so I will not comment on it. I got home from my Dream cruise and started looking at Disney for a 7 night aailing. Big SmileGreat cruise pricey but worth it.

We enjoy the trip , we were a party of 8 adults plus 8 children. The quality of the food was good the only problem we experienced are the pools ( too small  for qty of people in the cruise )

The crew was A1 and we feel very well.

For this being our 1st cruise- we really enjoyed ourselves! Loved every moment. My son enjoyed most the kids club!!! Open from 9am-12am for his specific age group. The different pool areas were also a favorite of ours! I do NOT swim at all- but I found myself in a swimsuit & in the water everyday of my vacation! The rooms were nice! We had a category 4b room with balcony which was very private! Te room was also spacious.
