Ship was great. Wait staff great. Food selection and taste was not good. Need to work on that.

The cruise was short with 2 at sea day. Unfortunately the ride from SF to Victoria was extremely choppy and my husband was sick for a day, so need to cancel specialty dining. The programs during the day were limited. The evening shows were excellent and professional. The food, dining service and room staff were great. Shopping could be better. The ship is very clean since it is new.

Wish there would have been more masking required with the ship capacity being close to 3000 and the fact there were Covid issues on the previous week. Cleaning in high touch areas, ie. tables around Piazza during breakfast and pre dining times needed to be more frequent. A lot of dirty tables were just used again even though the table was marked as not ready.

Brand-new ship! We were in its 3rd cruise. Some of the waiters are quite new so make sure they hear exactly what you’re ordering, to avoid mixups & dishes ordered but not delivered!

It is amazing to be on cruise again. People are out to have fun and enjoy life. The cruise had gentle waves, we have our scopolamine patches. We saw dolphins and whales almost everyday.

This was a great trip, although there was a lot of walking since the ship is so large. Lots to see and do without getting off the ship.

The lotus spa experience was amazing. The worker named THEM was so helpful and super friendly. Patricia in dining works so hard and she deserves a raise. Ravi needs to work on his services. We left the room at 7am and returned at 5pm and the room still was not clean. We had to rush out so he can freshen our room. We had the service light on the entire day. We were shocked when we came back to find it still not cleaned. Ketchikan dining is really confusing to locate.

This was a very relaxing and calm cruise. On most cruises, we’re usually hustling and bustling all around to enjoy all the activities and onboard amenities and running around all over. This cruise, we relaxed and spent a lot of time in our cabin on our balcony and watching movies on our TV. I personally felt there wasn’t too much onboard activities to do that caught my attention, so as a result I relaxed A LOT! Princess is catered to an older crowd, so if you’re used to Royal, Norwegian, or Carnival don’t expect a party on here- you’ll be relaxing a lot, which isn’t a bad thing! There was a lot of people coughing and not covering there mouths which was kinda gross- but that’s on every cruise I’ve noticed lol, so take your vitamin C! I would definitely cruise with Princess again if I got a good deal and want to have a relaxing cruise. No bad feelings towards Princess, I loved them but the crew on this cruise I didn’t feel was as friendly (especially guest service don’t get me started on them) and the lacking variety of activities was a little disappointing too. Nonetheless, great cruise and a week off from work and being out at sea was amazing!

It was a relaxing cruise as we had been to all those ports before and we just wanted to see the new ship which was nice but a bit disappointed with services onboard because we expected more from Princess than other cruise lines.

This was my first cruise in four years. Overall, I loved the ship and loved using the app to order a beverage whenever or wherever onboard I was. It felt a bit crowded at times. But, overall, it was a beautiful ship and I'd be more than happy to sail again on Discovery Princess.

Very busy ship, Wi-Fi was unusable, pools overloaded and difficult to access without stairs.

Pros Staff was awesome Shows were phenomenal Cons Coffee was the worst Food was unimpressive Wifi was less than 1 Mbps and not very usable. Don't waste money on wifi and don't buy the beverage package unless your an alcoholic. Bring your own water and wine aboard.

This was a wonderful short cruise! We enjoyed our time on Discovery Princess a great deal. The food, the service, and the entertainment were top notch. Things that could use improvement were the capacity in the Main Dining Room, scheduling of entertainment (only one hour of karaoke on certain nights? Really?), and the wifi/Medallion app (didn't always work and was very glitchy).

Once again this is day 2 so I can only comment on the fact that the Medallion and App do not seem to work well, which you need for food and drinks! I will update at the end to see if there is any improvement in these areas.

My family likes to cruise and we have been on many other cruise lines. Most of our cruise experiences have been quite enjoyable. Occasionally, you run into an issue or two that almost always ends up getting resolved. This was my first time on a Princess Cruise. We booked this cruise for 10 of us to celebrate my wife's birthday. From the beginning everybody had non-stop issues and it completely ruined our trip. At the end we all agreed we would never do a Princess Cruise again. While I do not think it fair to discuss the issues of the others, I can certain share mine. These are just some of the issues we encountered on the cruise: -We had rooms booked next to each other. We got locked out of our rooms 6 times over 24 hours and each time had to to go to guest services to get our medallion's reset. -They switched our room numbers after the first day, so all my info and billing went to the other room and their info to ours. I had to keep going to guest services to try to get it corrected. They never corrected it. So I had to spend the entire time saying that I was staying in the room next door to ours. -I asked to have our medallions open doors to both our room and our kids room. These often failed and we kept having to get it corrected by having to go down repeatedly to guest services. -Do Not disturb light on our room kept turning off by itself so we kept getting disturbed. -A pipe under the sink leaked dirty water all over our bathroom floor. We could not get in it for over 2 hours. Then they did not clean up the mess so I had to go get someone to come clean. -We made reservations at 3 specialty restaurants before cruise for all 10 of us. One was cancelled. Others moved the times and amounts of people. Then we were told there were no more reservations available at any restaurants or dining halls for the entire rest of the cruise. After having to argue with many people at guest services, they would correct them in the moment. However, they continued to get messed up again. We would go directly to the restaurants and speak with managers and had them correct there. By the next day they would be all messed up again. -We paid for internet and wifi, however they almost never worked and when they did we could barely check or send emails let alone use the internet for anything else. -Messages would often not go through on the app so nobody could really communicate with each other on the ship. When they did, the receiver would not receive a notification. We were told by IT services that we could not set it to receive notifications, however 3 people in our party occasionally would receive notifications throughout the cruise. -Our kids could not communicate with each other through the app. We kept going down to IT to try to get it resolved. Each time we were told that they fixed it and it may take up to 24 hours to resolve. It never worked the entire cruise. So our kids were often uncomfortable splitting up because they could not stay in contact with each other or their cousins. -My medallion would stop working intermittently so when I would go to check in or pay for something, I kept having issues. -We ordered room service one time and was told it would take about 30 minutes. 1 item arrived after an hour. We waited another 30 minutes and then we finally went to go eat and most of the rest of the order finally showed up at the room while we were gone. -We ordered room service one time that never came at all -We ordered room service one time that came 3 hours late -We ordered room service one time that said 30 minutes. After 1 hour we left to go eat. It came after 2 hours and they delivered it to us upstairs at the buffet while we were already eating. -We ordered room service one time that said 30 minutes. After an hour and fifteen minutes they said it was delivered. It never was. -We ordered a bottle of wine at one of the main restaurants at dinner. We kept asking where it was. Halfway through the meal I was told they were out. We ordered a different bottle which came at the end of the meal as we were getting ready to leave. We told the manager who just said that they would not charge me for the first bottle. (The one we never received) -I had the premium drink package and ask how many drinks I had left one night and was told 4 remaining. Because of this I ordered 2 more and next day was charged for them both. -We all tried to have dinner at The Salty Dog Restaurant. We had so many issues and they made so many mistakes that we were told they would credit back the cost of the meal to all of us. This did not happen. I went to guest services 3 days in a row and was told each day they would get it corrected. They never did. -Almost every time I called guest services from our room, they did not answer. Because of this, I kept having to go back downstairs in person. -We ate at Skagway Restaurant one night and ordered a bottle of wine and told them to make sure they had it. (because of our last issue) They confirmed they had it. Then later was told they just opened the last bottle for someone else so we could not have it. We ordered a different bottle of wine. I noticed I was charged twice for that bottle. I spoke with manager who assured me it would be voided right away. I had to go on to guest services chat a couple of times later to keep trying to get it removed. Every time we would go to guest services, they just kept making various excuses and apologizing over and over. One of the nights they brought us boxes of chocolates for the kids. That was all they ever did for us. Every one of us had similar issues and this cruise was beyond a disappointment for all of us. All 10 of us were really upset by the end, and like I mentioned in the beginning, we will never choose a Princess Cruise again.
