Review summary

Horrible! Sketchy, not welcoming, falling apart ship! Would never go on another princess cruise and hope no one else does either for the best of themselves! If you want a stressful, boring vacation then go right ahead! If you want to be incorrectly charged money once disembarking, go ahead! If you want ports and excursions to be canceled, this is the ship for you! For me, this was a horrible experience every step of the way. Never been so disappointed. A shame and sorry excuse for a vacation!

It was fine, it was fairly quick and without too long of lines. We were feeling hopeful at this point!

Food and Dining

Main dining room was SO loud and right next to the breaking down engine. So shaky and noisy it ruined dinner. Buffets were not fresh or presented well at all. Smelled weird all around and was dark and outdated. Only decent food was the upgraded dinner we had at the Italian restaurant, and still wasn’t amazing by any means. I was really looking forward to fresh Alaskan salmon, and it was dry and gross!

Onboard Activities

Pools were freezing, should have been heated as we were in Alaska and it wasn’t warm outside. We tried to play bingo one day just to pass some time, and had to pay $30 just for a board to play. Karaoke was fine, but the rest of the activities were boring and childish

Entertainment

There were two stage shows and both were horrible. One was a comedian who was sooooo far from funny. The other way a bunch of singing that put me and my family to sleep it was so boring! Wanted some exciting dancing and high energy entertainment, and got nothing of that sort. The only great thing and one of the best parts of the ship is the singers and musicians. The couple who sang at night in one of the bars doing a different themed cover every night was amazing and our favorite part of nights! Very talented and nice people

Service and Staff

Service was not good. We should have food and drinks being thrown at us the entire trip, instead of hunting Someone down for a water! The room service was decent and some waiters were good and on top of it. Others were just lazy and didn’t look like they wanted to do their job!

Ship Quality

Sooo outdated and not welcoming! Layout was pretty confusing, but we made by eventually. It was pretty clean and well maintained for the most part but the rooms were not nice at all and seemed as if the whole ship was falling apart and needed to go to a port to be taken apart and retired!

Cabin / Stateroom

Size was fine, I knew it would be small, but smaller than anticipated. Super outdated!! A huge turn off the second I walked in. Decent size closet, but that’s about it. Could tell it was an old boat and not a very comforting place to hang out in

Disembarkation

Horrible!!!! They charged my brothers card all the money he had, so they said they would remove his card from his account to stop that from happening again. We had to be first off ship due to an early flight and once we got off the ship and headed inside, he got stopped and told to go all the way back to the ship and to the customer service desk to add it back. They have incorrectly charged a handful of my family’s cards since disembarking, and three weeks later we still cannot get a hold of someone to help us from Princess.
