A great ship, wonderful entertainment, staff efficient but not friendly, elegant dining, not many English speakers

The main dining room was elegant, we loved the 5 and six course meals with Italian cuisine. The buffet food was good but the atmosphere was hectic- lots of children and people anxious to serve themselves. Did not visit any specialty restaurants because of the extra fee and the excellence of the food provided with our cruise in the main dining room.

The library was only open for an hour each day; would have liked to borrow a book but never got there when it was open.

I enjoyed the stage shows and really enjoyed the dance venues. The main dance floor had beautiful continental styled music suitable for ballroom dancing and the dancing instructor who was from Brazil was an amazing singer, as well. The Piano bar group on the third floor were very good, as well. Really enjoyed the mellow tunes of the lounge act on the third floor.

The service we received from our cabin steward Put was exceptional. The waiters in the dining room were polite, but too busy to be very attentive. The bartenders worked hard and had no time for chit chat. Occasionally the cocktail waiters could get to us so we went up to the bar and ordered our own drinks.

The cabin was clean, spacious, and comfortable.
Ship tip
The main languages of the passengers on board are Italian, French, and German. If you do not speak those languages you may feel isolated. We were a party of six Americans and found only a few other Americans on board.
We loved Venice. The streets are canals or quaint cobbled stoned alleys. Lots of history, restaurants. Took a gondola ride to get close to some areas only available by boat.
We did not visit Bari but went to Albertobella to see the Trulli houses instead. A long bus ride, but worth it since the Trulli are a World Heritage site.
The old city in Corfu is beautifully maintained. Enjoyed walking around the streets, too narrow for cars. Also enjoyed the trip to the cumquat facility.
Santori is charming and uncrowded. We talked about spending a week here, unwinding. White houses, blue roofs, an occasional windmill. A great winery overlooking the valley with complimentary tasting and cheese and olives. Enjoyed the small village we walked through and shopping in Fira. The cablecard ride down the cliff was impressive, as well.
Athens was crowded and not as clean as the rest of the places on our trip. The Acropolis was very crowded and almost dangerous to get to because of the slippery cobblestones and the masses of people crowding to get there and to leave. With our free time we explored the Plaka, found a nice restaurant and had a Greek meal.
We found the walled city beautiful, well maintained, and easy to explore. Our excursion included a cable car ride, but we would not do an excursion next time - Just take a shuttle to the old town (2 miles away) and walk around instead.
We wanted to get to the airport early so kept our luggage and packed it off. There was a crush of other passengers doing the same, with some crowding in line.
