The most relaxing and hassle free cruise by Rhodster2018

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Coral Princess / Destination: Panama Canal, Central America

This 19 days LA to LA Panama Canal Cruise was the most hassle free cruising we’ve ever had because no airline, airport nor TSA were involved. The number of Sea days between port stops were just right offering a relaxing cruise. The only disappointment was that the production shows entertainment involving the Princess Dancers and Orchestra were only presented three times and the rest were with comedians, soloist, etc. which were repeated several times throughout the cruise.

Our 60 day Circle Asia Cruise by 123Judy456

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Coral Princess / Destination: Transpacific

We really enjoyed this cruise, even though it was 60 days. The only issues were the missed ports, as we were really looking forward to Kushiro & Osaka, Japan.

Absolutely terrific cruise!! by PAISAN

The best cruise other than the WORLD CRUISES I have been on. Wish they had this itinerary as a staple, but alas, it seems this was a one off.

Wine prices have gone through... by ladolcevita

Sail date: /
Ship: Coral Princess

Wine prices have gone through the roof in the dining rooms. Also, cannot purchase the Silver wine package as there are no bottles of wine under $31. Disappointed in Princess.

Below Average for Princess by Salthawk69

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Coral Princess / Destination: Transpacific

Entertainment was poor in my estimation. Had to arrive in theatre almost 45 minutes early to get a seat for a 45 minutes show! Dining menu's boring and poor planning on when to serve delicacies like Lobster, Prime Rib, etc.

Fabulous 60 day LAX to LAX cruise. by loisndan

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Coral Princess / Destination: Transpacific

We had a fabulous time on this cruise, despite the problems that did arise. The crew and fellow passengers were great. Missing ports, running out of lettuce on our 7 days at sea between Guam and Honolulu were small annoyances compared to the fun we had on board and in port. The internet problems were the worst part of the trip, but the agent on duty did his best to remain patient and helpful. Give that guy a raise - he took a lot of abuse.

Great Coastal Cruise by sharonpenney

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Coral Princess / Destination: North America

Seems this cruise was just “thrown” together to make money on repositioning the ship. The ports were lacklustre except for SAN Francisco. The Astoria stop was a total waste of time. Would not recommend this cruise to anyone

Loved the ship and the... by L8888

Sail date: /
Ship: Coral Princess

Loved the ship and the cruise! Everything was kept very clean. Felt the crew may have been a bit burned out. Many were ending their 9 month stint and were leaving when we reached San Francisco.

Very relaxing with beutiful scenery, I'd hurry because the glaciers are receeding quickly by NHSean

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Coral Princess / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

gave me a coupon book. Others that I know got the drink package for free. The coupon book is a waste!!! They made it sound like you were getting something great ($500 value). It's a waste of paper! Try for the free drink package even if you only drink water, soda or coffee. Aslo, I booked flights a year in advance through Princess. They were much cheaper than going through the airlines. I stayed at the Captain Cook in Anchorage. I booked myself, but I think travel agents may be able to get it at a better rate. About 1/3 of the ship stayed at that hotel. Princess has a desk in there lobby

Our first cruise by daksak64

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Coral Princess / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

Alaska was spectacular, the weather was not. Glacier Bay was a bust, foggy and cold could not see the glaciers. Skagway train ride was interesting, hike was fun, city not much other than shops . Juneau was our best port of call with great weather and great excursion. Ketchikan excursion was cancelled, we did enjoy city tour and lumberjack show. Vancouver was okay weather was not . Denali was a bust, cold and rainy, Never saw the mountains and very few animals. Cruise overall was not as good as we expected.

Alaska Cruise by curlsb2c

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Coral Princess / Destination: Alaska - Gulf of Alaska

I would definitely not bring young children or teens on the coral princess. Geared to a much older crowd. If you are like me and rather be casual all day even at dinner then don't bother bringing formal wear. There are only 2 formal nights and there are other places to eat those days. On the other nights we were perfectly fine in jeans in the dining room. Dress in layers. Balcony had plenty of space for two people and their belongings.

We really enjoyed this cruise.... by RachelB53

Sail date: /
Ship: Coral Princess

We really enjoyed this cruise. The good, staff was friendly and helpful. The room was kept spotless. The beds on this cruise was like sleeping on a cloud. Food was good, not exceptional but nothing to complain about. Wait staff in the dining room was slow. It shouldn’t take two hours to eat dinner, but the were friendly. My husband got a double portion of king crab legs due to the delay. The ship is an older ship so it’s not as ostentatious as other cruises, but I’m ok with that. Princess is geared to an older clientele so I wouldn’t suggest this cruise for kids, but there were several kids on the cruise and they seemed fine. We also did the land tour which I highly recommend for anyone who considers this a once in a life time trip. You shouldn’t skip over the interior of Alaska.

We were hesitant about a cruise but no other way to see Alaska. Princess won me over and starting to think about the next one. I hae had Safety and process improvement as my primary responsiilty durinng my career and I can't think of a thing they could hae improved.
