Review summary

This is an excellent cruise for folks who really want to just relax on vacation. There aren't a ton of good entertainment options, but on this itinerary, you don't need a whole lot of options. If you're looking for a younger or energetic environment, this is not the cruise for you.The food was amazing everywhere except for Sabitini's. The best part is that the ship was never far from the cities we visited so we could conveniently come back to the ship and eat lunch or dinner. The service was amazing from the stateroom stewards, to the wait staff, to passenger services. I would recommend spending the extra money to get a balcony on this itinerary. It is worth it to not have to fight for a good view on deck while going through Glacier Bay and College Fjords. Overall it was a great way to celebrate our honeymoon/anniversary. We would do this cruise again in a heartbeat!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Except for Sabitini's, traditional dining was much better.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Trivia was always fun and movies under the stars is a really unique and fun opportunity!

Entertainment

3 out of 5
We went to a show the first night and it was one sales pitch. We stuck to the movies and trivia the rest of the trip. Bingo was also fun to watch.

Cabin / Stateroom

We actually got upgraded to a balcony and it was amazing! It's very spacious and in Ketchikhan it was warm enough to lay out on the balcony. We also loved being able to just open the curtain and see whales, glaciers, or mountains.

Ship tip

We recommend traditional dining. It's really cool developing relationships with tablemates and the wait staff. We'd also recommend getting a balcony on this ship.

Ports of call

Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia

Make sure to go through Stanley Park and the Capilano Suspension Bridge. Also, if you get time to do the Grouse Mountain, do that as well.

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
We just walked around town, it had the cheapest souvenirs so definitely do that here.

Juneau, Alaska

Even in a big storm, we were able to see the Mendenhall Glacier and go whale watching.

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
We definitely recommend going dog sledding and play with the puppies!

Cruise Glacier Bay

5 out of 5
The park rangers were very informative and the views were breathtaking.

Cruise College Fjord, Alaska

3 out of 5
It was a nice view, but Glacier Bay was much better.

Whittier (Anchorage), Alaska

There's nothing to do here, but once you're through the tunnel, the Wilderness Conservation Center isn't far and the Kenai Peninsula is only a couple hours south where there's a lot of things to do and see.
