When dining at the Oceanview Cafe, sit in the back. It is less crowded and there is a good breakfast line you'll have almost to yourself.

Read your daily mail about the day, we did a back to back and the change was quite easy. Nadia was very professional in dealing with the people (and there always are some) who failed to follow directions and were late arriving for the switch,

Breakfast upstairs is not too crowded and well presented. See "Juan Valdez" for coffee. He makes his own blend. Lunch is best near the pool at the burger bar. Nice think patties and excellent hot dogs. At dinner some menu items were not what was expected, but largely the result of trying too hard. The chef has to learn limits when serving hundreds at a time. Chicken Kiev was dry as it was made "gluten free". Chicken Saltambucca and Veal Cordon Blue were similarly flawed. The lamb, and there was a lot, was absolutely wonderful especially the lamb shanks braised in red wine. Loved the heated salt water pool with massage benches and waterfall spigots.

On the island of Domincua you can walk off ship and go right to tour office and get the same excursions as the ship offers at 1/3 the price. Use Trip Advisor and book your own with vendors to save money.

I found this ship so easy to get around. The first week we had an ocean view room, we just loved leaving the curtains open and letting the sun in the morning come thru. We just loved sitting out back on the 10th deck having breakfast and watching the ship pull in port.

Try to book your cruise as early as possible. We prefer to have cabins with balconies when we cruise, however, with our busy schedules (there are 4 of us), we booked about 2 months before our cruise and were not able to find two cabins with balconies (next to each other).
