Review summary
The Celebrity Summit had high points and low points. The rooms were nice - the bunk beds disappeared into the ceiling so we didn't feel crowded, there was storage in the room and bathroom, and the water pressure was tip top. The entertainment was a real let down. The song-and-dance shows looked like they were created and costumed by a drunk middle-schooler. The magician was very polished. I was disappointed by all the lounge musicians - very flat, but good song choices and not too much talking/patter. One assistant cruise director was snarky and seemed bothered by having to work and talk to passengers, but the others were fine. Easy to get the included drinks. Loved the solarium - good temperature of the air and water, good sound level/music. Efficient waiters and evening drinks staff. Embarkation and debarkation were a smooth dream - not just at the beginning and end, but also at each port - good job Celebrity.
