Review summary

We had such a wonderful time sailing with Captain Kate on her maiden voyage that we decided to stay on for 4 more LOL! This cruise was actually the last of our 48 days on the Summit and we absolutely loved it! Sure it's not the newest or biggest ship in the fleet but the crew more than make up for this. Everyone is so friendly and helpful that it definitely made us consider doing more trips with Celebrity even though we are long time Princess cruisers. The sushi bar and morning freshly poached eggs in the buffet were the biggest difference in the food offering between the two cruise lines but these were definitely miles above what Princess offers in these areas. Generally we liked the Concierge Class cabin better than the Aqua Class (more storage room, hated the Aqua in room shower and never had time to make much use of the Persian Garden). The breakfast room service in both is the same menu (enjoyed the smoothies and the extra breakfast choices available as compared with other cabins.).

So overall, we will definitely give Celebrity a 2nd look when we book our next cruise and even look at Royal Caribbean since our new Elite Class gives us Diamond status on the Royal Caribbean even though it will be our first cruise with them.
