Review summary

Airport in San Juan is easy to negotiate. Affordable, easy access to taxi. Sea Port is across bay from Old San Juan in industrial area, so not accessible by foot to anything else you'd want to see. Port is in "fair" condition. The Summit is obviously an older ship and well used. I think she generally looks better inside than out. Not much to do for active people, only a basketball court and swimming pools. Our inside cabin was clean, but a little worn. This is my 3rd cruise, other 2 were with Norwegian and Princess. The service on this cruise was great, especially our waiter, Elston, an amazing professional and warm human being. The entertainment was so-so, especially from the Summit entertainers. The guest entertainers: magician, Beatles tribute band "Hard Days Night", and last night comedian were quite good.  The food was quite good, best of the 3 ships I've been on.  The itinerary is why I booked. Only 1 sea day, 6 different islands.  All of them had there positives and are similar in many ways, but probably enjoyed Dominica and Grenada and St. John's (Trunk Bay) the most. Booked 2 excursions through Celebrity: Kayak river to sea on Dominica (then arranged trip to Trafalgar water falls on our own). Kayaking was too short, and didn't kayak in ocean at all. Did zip line on St. Kitts. Very fun, but also too short, probably not worth the price. There are 5? lines, but the first is very short training line, and last is very short tandem lines. The 3 in middle are fun. Embarkation and Disembarkation were very quick and easy.  Lots of great memories made, and a lot of winter melted away. Ready to go back to work now!
