Review summary
We have been on many cruises and this one was the lowest quality of any. The crew/staff were wonderful and they were most accommodating, charming and kind. However, the food was definitely sub-par. Cruise meals are always exotic and well presented. The variety on the Summit was boring, the food often not well-seasoned and the presentations very mediocre. We were shocked at this. The menus were often stained and even wrinkled; not at all what we expected. The entertainment was OK, but there was very little variety, unlike every other cruise we have taken. There was no "food extravaganza" at the end like is typical. If you don't gamble, drink or dance, you'd better plan to just lay by the pool or go to the library and read a book! I would never cruise on a Celebrity ship again. Holland America and Princess both are far superior in quality and service. However, this is just our experience on one ship and you need to factor that in to your decision. Obviously others had a far better experience than we did and I'm glad. We are not trying to grumble here, but we were asked to give an honest evaluation so here it is.
