Ship and crew were above average. On a trip that centered around "nature" , the use of a naturalist as entertainment was a natural.With the limited size of the pool, would not want to take this ship on a warm weather cruise, but for Alaska, it was more than adequate..Hot tubs were not very "hot".

Just returned from our cruise and it was wonderful! Food was great, service was great, staff was great! The only problem we encountered was our "essential oil" shipmates and there were several hundred of them on this cruise. Yes they were very pleasant people but the odor from all the oils they were wearing. You could always tell they were in the room it was quite overpowering and in some cases nauseating- It was quite bad everywhere in the elevators, dining rooms, lobbies, hallways..... you get the picture! Other than that it was wonderful and I would highly recommend this cruise to all.

This was our 13th cruise, the first with Celebrity. We had heard rave reviews about the Solstice. We were so impressed. The entire staff greeted us so genuinely. Being retired school administrators, we were very impressed with the continual monitoring by the senior staff. They were everywhere, encouraging and respectfully noticing areas that they thought could be better. We highly recommend cruising with Celebrity!

This was an unbelievable experience for us. The ship was immaculate and the service was outstanding. They kept us busy all the time. We are looking forward to our next cruise with Celebrity. I would recommend to everyone.

I was very impressed with the service and staff on the Celebrity Cruise we took to Alaska. Our room and the three gentlemen who serviced us were exceptional. We had a mini suite with a balcony and we were glad for the balcony because of the beautiful view daily. We had a dinner hour of 8:30 and there were nine of us and we all ate in the dining room every evening. The food was delicious and second servings were given if asked. We disembarked at all the stops and enjoyed the Alaska towns. My only regret was our inability to get reservations to the "Taku" Lodge on the plane. We enjoyed the shows. The ship is beautiful and well maintained. The cruise was wonderful and so was the weather!

The young man who cleaned the elevators...,Outstanding job. Never saw one fingerprint!! The performers were outstanding and Brent could make basket weaving interesting. He's a great teacher. My only negative response was with my account and using the ID card on the ship. Each day there was an error on my account. Customer service resolved the issue quickly and with courtesy. However I would have lost quite a bit of money with the errors. I have already recommended Celebity to all my friends and coworkers. Along with Alaska. This was my 3rd Celebrity cruise. We traveled in a party of 12... Ranging in age from 17 to 72. There was plenty of activities for all of us to participate in. The service was excellent, as was the food and amenities. The only other cruises we were on was Disney - these are comparable lines and I highly recommend both.

1.The pasta section in buffet needs immediate improvement on the way of service, such as guests do not need help should be allowed to make their pasta dishes freely. 2. Provide more sea foods in buffet

This is only my second cruise,however it was the best vocaton that i ever had. Clebrity is the flagshp of cruise lines. I didn't know what to expect al first but upon boading the ship was made feell like a king

We've been on 15 cruises over the past 12 years and this was the best. The boarding process was fast and efficient, and things got better from there. The ship was beautiful and well maintained. The ship's staff was consistently cheerful and helpful. The food was always excellent, regardless of where you ate. What else could you ask for? They've spoiled us! We intend to use Celebrity exclusively from now on.

Despite complaining several times that the room airconditioning does not work adequately, the nights were hot and stuffy despite the fact that it was turned on all the way to cool, there was no effort made to rectify the problem until the 5th day, by then the majority of the cruise was over. We did not sleep well, and had complained by phone to the stateroom attendant, as well as standing in line over 5 minutes at the Customer Relations, the problem was not fixed until the 5th day. At the end of the Cruise, passengers were expected to get their breakfast and off the ship by 8:00 AM (our stateroom fell in this category). The experience was very unpleasant, we had to wake up by alarm, and then rush to breakfast, where huge amount of people were desperately trying to eat before the food closed, so ended up waiting in line for most of the time, without getting much food, upon return to the room to finish last minute exit packing, attendants started to knock several times asking us to hurry up and leave. Very negative experience for a family traveling with a young child, and a poor ending to our very expensive vacation. Little consideration was made to make the passengers feel relaxed and happy at the end of the cruise. Will not take a cruise again.

We have sailed on the Solstice previously on the East Coast. The ship is Grand and the Service was Great. While the food was really super, the selection was rather slim. Entertainment was the only area of the experience we were not pleased with. The entertainer doing the magic was not bad but his rendering of hypnosis was not Celebrity quality. The Cruise director (Patti?) was Super and she should sing more often than the last afternoon. All-in-all, our Celebrity cruise was another great experience. Thanks, we still feel your number one on the seas.

Great Cruise but nothing for teenagers to do while at sea. Need a movie theatre or activities suitable for family cruise since Wi-Fi is expensive giving them something to do. The basketball court was the same enclosure as the soccer court.

Celebrity Solstice was overall an incredible first cruise experience. The staff was very personable and greeted guests by name throughout the cruise. Aqua class cabins were treated to Blu, an excellent specialty restaurant, as well as to express embarking and disembarking. The only reason for the 4 rating is due to difficulties in tendering guests off the boat and into port in Juneau causing delays in our excursions. Also, immigration delays in Victoria caused difficulties in managing the large crowd of guests lining up to get off the ship.

Ship was clean, on cutting edge equipment. Crew was very helpful and attentive to guest, good service when anything was spilled it was taken care of right away, keeps ship in clean and in great shape! The entertainment was as good as it gets, good variety and always great to watch and participate in. Two waiters in particular were Rolando and Harrah in Main dining room on level three, gave excellent friendly service at table #268. The ship was so nice I don't really know why we disembarked at the ports!

the ship is great, but the itinerary was very boring,The only good thing is the fjord that was the best part of the trip,After that most of the time cruised in open water.He cruised the inside passage from juneau in the middle of the night (what good would that do!!) .Although he was suppose to cruise inside in his way to vectoria ,he went from open seas,the whole trip is average not as I expected at all.

The cruise in general was excellent. The crew was very friendly and the ship clean. Could have more variety of food at the buffet dinning room. Every day the food was the same. Could be a little less blend, other wise the quality was good. yes, I definitely would sail again with Celebrity and would recommend it to others.

The trip did not start off well for many as the transport arrangements from San Diego to Ensenada were beyond poorly organized. Some people had to wait up to 4 hours for their bus and some buses were poorly maintained. We had arranged a private driver to take us to Ensenada, but even that was confusing as we were not given clear instructions from Celebrity on where to check in or where to leave our baggage. Once on the ship, we were pleased with our room (as usual) and glad we had booked Aqua as Blu provides a good dining service. We went to the Specialty restaurants a few evenings and they were quite good. We rate the entertainment on Celebriy as "fair" but it was not an issue for us as we usually listen to piano and jazz. This cruise did not provide good transport in ports if you are not on one of their tours. That is a bit frustrating as it is not good to rely only on local "trolley's" which are infrequent. We were on the Reflection in February and felt local transport was better organised and more frequent. Disembarkation was as expected and not as chaotic as some other cruises. All in all, a good holiday with some minor annoyances. We will cruise with Celebrity again, but ask more questions and do more research about local sites before we go.

The ship is exquisite. The food in both the main dining room and specialty dining was spectacular,l and the waiters in both were great. Our inside cabin room was surprisingly large (king bed, full couch, and large bathroom with walk in shower). There was lots of storage for belongings. Now the not so good --- port to ship transportation was pathetic. Long lines and hours of waiting. It took over 6 hours to get to the 2 hour destination. Staff on the ship were NOT friendly, Not accommodating, and not concerned if you had an issue. They control the temperature in the cabin. I asked repeatedly to lower the temp but they never did. We had requested a large table top so we we could meet other people, but we were put at table for 2 and they refused to move us. We also were put in different dinging time than our friends; they had 6:30 and we had 8:30. They also refused to allow us to change dining times, yet there were empty seats all over the room at both seatings. The bars and clubs were so beautiful, but the Larwence Welk band sucked and the DJ music was boring as well -- all old fashioned music, The shows were mediocre. Ship was spectacular -- experience was rather dreary. Most disappointed in the staff and boring music/agendas on board.

Besides not having anyone meet us at the plane to take us to the ship, the rest was fair. We are so used to Royal Carribean standards that the Solstace was jusr not up to par.
