Review summary

We enjoyed the ship, crew and ports. Three sea days was a bit much especially two on the way back. Alaska is beautiful and the excursions are well done. We did some hikes which were great ways to enjoy the natural beauty.

Best coffee is at Cafe al Bocio and the pastries there are delicious (and free(“)

5 out of 5
City Pass is a great way to see the highlights at a lower price

Ketchikan, Alaska

4 out of 5
Easiest port to walk around

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER

5 out of 5
They took the ship right up to the glacier and then spun it around

Juneau, Alaska

Lots of eagles

The town is mostly a national heritage site. Take time to watch the short movie in the visitors center about the gold rush

Glad you had a good cruise. Thanks for the great review. We prefer sea days to port days. We would love a cruise with just sea days and no ports.

I love sea days!!! If you pick a ship you really love then sea days are amazing.

We loved the Solstice in 2015 for our cruise to Alaska. Our itinerary was fantastic. The ship is beautiful. Food delicious and staff friendly and helpful. Celebrity is probably our favorite cruise line. However, we did find on the Alaska cruise not a lighting don on the ship. We watched the glass blowing many times.
