Review summary

I would have to call this trip a "once in a lifetime" type of trip even though I know I will be back. Everyone should see Alaska if they can at least once. The glaciers are melting rapidly, so if you want to see them, better hurry!

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Very slow and repetitious.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The main dining room food was good. The buffets were okay. There is ample room for improvement. Did not use specialty restaurants

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Nice clean, large gym facility

Entertainment

5 out of 5
They were all very entertaining

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff were there to serve and they did it in spades. All of them and with such a high level of enthusiam

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very clean ship and well maintained

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was larger than we expected and the balcony was perfect. We were on level 7 and the people on level 6 did not like their balconies due to obstructions so go 7 or higher. Our attendant Raj kept the place in tip top shape...

Ship tip

As stated above, if getting a balcony, go level 7 or higher due to obstructions. Also, not sure I would pay for a drink package again. Unless you drink more that a dozen drinks every single day...

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

5 out of 5
We loved the city of Seattle. So much to see and do. Pikes was great...

Ketchikan, Alaska

5 out of 5
Such a beautiful city with it's lushness. Very charming!

CRUISE ENDICOTT ARM & DAWES GLACIER

2 out of 5
We could not go in due to the captain making the decision not to because of the large glacial chunks in the path and his concern for safety

Juneau, Alaska

4 out of 5
This was a nice city but was my least favorite since it is a larger city being the capital of Alaska. It is where all the glaciers are though and we did take a helicopter and landed on one which was truly spectacular...one of the trip highlights

Skagway, Alaska

5 out of 5
Another smaller town that was great for hiking. We took the White Pass train into BC, Canada which was awe-inspiring with it's majestic views along the way. Worth every penny

Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska

4 out of 5

Victoria, British Columbia

5 out of 5
Truly a one of a kind city but was unfortunate that the stop was too short to really do much so I guess we'll have to return sometime to really see it all...

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Very fast and efficient
