Review summary

The ship was lovely and the cabin spacious. The ports of call were interesting and the scenery gorgeous.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
There were two ships departing Vancouver so embarkation did take a couple of hours, especially waiting to go through U.S. Immigration.

Onboard Activities

We really didn't have a lot of time on board the ship as we were in Port for a lot of the days. We did do the Trivia quizzes and they were, unusually, quite challenging!

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The ship was lovely and had the most impressive public toilets - they were gorgeous. My only complaint is that the seating in the main restaurant wasn't very well designed and was not comfortable for people who are short. I could not reach the back of the dining chairs and brought a cushion from my stateroom to dinner each night to put behind my back.

Ship tip

Listen to the Captain's updates - he's hilarious.

We did a Bering Sea Crab Fishermen's Tour that we booked privately. The trawler was docked right beside our ship so it was very convenient and was a great tour. We saw heaps of Bald Eagles.

Juneau, Alaska

We did the Mendenhall Glacier and Gardens excursion in Junea. The glacier was amazing but I wouldn't do the gardens again.

Skagway, Alaska

We did a full-day excurusion with Frontier Expeditions along the Klondike to the Yukon. It was a fabulous trip. My only regret is that we got back into town too late to have a good look around.

Victoria, British Columbia

We did an excursion to Butchart gardens and they were beautiful - you must go there if you visit Victoria.
