Review summary

We didn't see the glacier we went to see. The room was a premium, overpriced room with lots of overhead noise day and night. TV system is old and antiquated. Food was hit and miss. Ship is too big with too many people. Spa is overpriced especially after you pay for an aquaclass room. The trip was a bummer. We went to celebrate a friend 70th birthday but now I wish we had stayed home.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Its a messy infrastructure in the Port with bad traffic in and out

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
They try really hard. Tuscan specialty restaurant was a disappointment. Murano specialty restaurant was the best on the boat. Service was poor to great depending on the server. Mostly difficult to understand service staff who were overworked for sure.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
shows were disappointing compared to other celebrity and RC cruises we have been on. Fitness center and spa nice but overpriced hugely. Not sure what aqua class bought us. We had rooms with the deck right over our heads so we heard high heels and moving furniture at all times of the day and night

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The entertainment tried really hard and there were some great performances but overall very subpar compared to other sailings

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Room steward was excellent and most wait staff really worked hard to please, but most overworked and it showed

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
The noise in our aqua class cabin was a function of bad design with the deck not soundproofed right over our heads. This disrupted sleep and quiet time. TV system by apple was antiquated, Time and temperature not correct and very slow to load --obviously antiquated and embarrassing for apple to say that they "power" the system. Some of the furniture is showing its age

Cabin / Stateroom

Noise Noise Noise in a "premium" Aqua class room. Super bad and gave a bad feeling for the entire cruise. I couldn't make the intruding noise stop even with earplugs.

Ship tip

Don't sail Aqua class! Try not to loose your mind through the boarding and disembarking process. Too many people on the boat for getting on and getting off.

Ports of call

Seattle, Washington

facilities getting into and out of pier area is too congested. Poor infrastructure. The terminal feels like we are in an old WWII era facility, Loud, crowded and frenetic with lots of lines.

Ketchikan, Alaska

1 out of 5
weather cancelled trip to the glacier at Traceys arm Fjord. They couldn't help that but that was the reason the cruise was chosen. Other events changed and cancelled due to weather. Ketchikan is very small and nothing but Diamond INternaltional tourist traps.

Juneau, Alaska

1 out of 5
Nothing place with lots of Diamond International tourist traps

Skagway, Alaska

3 out of 5
enjoyed the narrow gage railroad to the white summit.

Victoria, British Columbia

3 out of 5
beautiful place but stay was too short and frenetic. Only there for a few hours!

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
If you walk off, it is OK. but if you have them remove your luggage and pick it up in the terminal, it is too crowded and unsettling
