We are very young compared to the crowd on this boat. We didn't feel like there were a lot of fun "activities" (ie trivia, parties, scavenger hunts, etc) available, or if they were available, no one else was there or they would be scheduled at the same time, so as to conflict with each other. There was one particular "dance club" on the ship, and no one was ever there.
Our tour was less than satisfactory. The only thing they took us to was the Acropolis. Our guide was hard to hear and understand, even with the microphone and earphones. He was not very friendly. They took us to an expensive shop at the end. I did not think Athens was a very "tourist friendly" city. It felt like you were in New York, for all the cars and people everywhere. Everyone else we talked to on the cruise said this was their least favorite port.
We had so much fun on the 4x4 tour--such a great way to see the island. It was beautiful and very unique, although quite commercialized. A lot of the shops we went into had all "American" products. It could have just been the location we were looking in (just off the ship).
We went to Ephesus and the tour was really good. The carpet "demonstration" was more of just showing us carpets and talking about how they are made than a demonstration. We did not have time to go to the bazaar, but I think that would have been fun, too.
Not quite as spectacular as Santorini, but it was beautiful. We just went to the beach for a half day--wish it would have been longer, since the 4 hour excursion included travel time.
