Excursion staff should have better maps for participants. I will recommend all my friends to bring maps from AAA, if they are visiting the cities by themselves, or valuable time was wasted by looking for places. Maps provided by excursion staff are small and hard to read for the seniors.

Decide if you are into the cruising and maximizing the on-board services or plan to take full advantage of the shore excursions. We were the former, and do not regret it. This is a quality cruising vessel, chock full of excellent amenities. Our goal was to focus on everything on board.

If you can afford it, go with Aqua class or above. Saves tons of time and adds a little something extra.

This is the cruise to take for this itinerary! Book your shore excursions early, months before the cruise. We loved select dining. You can make a reservation the day before to fit your plans for the next day.

Book as many things in advance and work with a travel planner. I recommend Cruises Only w/ Danielle Smith. She is awesome. Also just know that you will be offered on the first day 50% of deals and the last day. So don't book anything those two days and wait for specials. Keep in mind, many of these tours include churches. After 3 or more churches you have seen enough. Keep in mind while planning. Towards the end of the cruise the 7-8 hour tours are very tiring.

Travel heavy and inconveniently and pay the airlines bag fees or travel like most people and pay Celebrity an obnoxiously insane amount to have clean laundry.

Take the stairs as often as you can - especially if you are going down. That allows you to really enjoy the food and desserts without the fear of putting on too much weight!
