Review summary

We really enjoyed the staff on this cruise. They really made the trip a lot of fun. Some of the guides we had were excellent. They really made our days special and we learned so much about the areas we were visiting. We had great waiter staff, a great room steward, loved Sue the Cruise Director and Sarah and her team really had so many fun activities going on. We participated anytime it fit into our schedule.

Extremely simple. The process moved right along!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We did not try any of the specialty restaurants. We loved the server team at our table and looked forward to spending our evening meal with them each night. We ate most breakfast and lunches at the buffet on deck 14. The food was fabulous! Tried many of the specialty cocktails but for the most part we drank beer and wine.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
Actually we did not participate in this type of onboard activities. Thought this was for games around the ship.

Entertainment

Enjoyed the shows each night. Female singer the final night was fantastic.

Service and Staff

Our waiter team was fantastic! Cannot say enough about them. Wayne was our water, Daria our assistant waiter and Anja was our sommelier. They were amazing! Made us feel special. We had so much fun with them! We really enjoyed the CLA team of Sarah, Will & Debbie. We always tried to participate in the fun activities they had going on. What a fun group of people. Also Sue the Cruise Director was really a special person. So upbeat and fun to be around. Also had great experiences with Aileen and Jovan from the shore excursion team. They were wonderful and so very helpful! Can honestly say none of us ever had a very pleasant experience with anyone from the Guest Relations group. They were very unfriendly, almost rude.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Very impressed at the continual cleanliness of the ship. Really liked the layout of our room.

Cabin / Stateroom

Really liked the layout of our room. Very happy with the amount of storage in the bedroom and bathroom. We were able to completely unpack. That really makes a cruise so much more enjoyable when you don’t have to get in and out of a suitcase. Our room steward was excellent. He always kept our room very clean!

Ship tip

Take the stairs as often as you can - especially if you are going down. That allows you to really enjoy the food and desserts without the fear of putting on too much weight!

Ports of call

Barcelona, Spain Did not visit port

It is where we got on the ship and had already spent a couple of days in Barcelona.

Ibiza, Balearic Islands

We had a Jeep tour scheduled that day but it was pouring rain so the tour was cancelled. We did go into town and walk around the shops.

Marseille (Provence), France

Cannes, France

Did the Monte Carlo and Grand Casino tour.

Livorno (Florence & Pisa), Italy

Did the tour called Shopping Tour and Gucci Wine Tasting. Tour guide was terrible. She provided no information about countryside we were going through! Literally the worst choice we made. Sad part is the main reason we were on the ship was my best friends 60th birthday which just happened to fall on the day of this tour. We were happy to find the bus and the bus driver let us come sit in the bus until it was time to go. The ships really needs to stress that this mall is HIGH END SHOPS. Not a single store that the majority of people can afford.

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy Did not visit port

This is where we got off of the ship. We stayed on in Rome for 3 additional days.

Amazing! Jovan had arranged a private transport for us to our hotel in Rome. He met us on the ship and escorted us off the ship right to our private transport.
