Review summary
We had an Aqua class room with a balcony. Besides being a larger room than expected, this level of room helps you zoom through check-in and security. We must have saved over an hour of waiting in line. The amenities in the room were nicer than the average cabin, with an enhanced room service menu, a little spa bag with slippers and lip protector, and a special dining room. The service everywhere was excellent with the single exception that it sometimes took a long time to get a drink. It wasn't too excessive but it was longer than I would have expected but it wasn't all the time.
The ship is beautiful with art, murals and statues everywhere. The rooms and public areas were spotless. The officers, staff and crew were very friendly and helpful. Our cabin steward Prez remembered all our names from the first day and ALWAYS had a smile.
This cruise does tend to skew a little older. My sister and I are 48 ad 51, respectively and we were in the younger set. There were some families with young kids and teenagers but not many. Because of this, the ship has a more subdued feeling than, say Carnival. Having said that, there was plenty to do if you felt like letting loose a little. They had the usual pool games, dance lessons, party spots and plenty of bars.
If you're looking for relaxation, being treated like an honored guest, and a little luxury Celebrity is the way to go.
