Review summary

Weather was perfect. Ship and crew were great. Just what we needed coming from the Pacific Northwest in March.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Easiest embarkation ever. Showed up on time, dropped off luggage, checked in with no waiting, and walked right on to the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
Loved the food in the MD, Buffet, and the couple of specialty restaurants that we went to. The only one we weren't overly impressed with was Sushi on 5. Not bad, just not impressive. Living in Seattle, I haven't found Sushi on a ship that I am impressed with yet.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Didn't do a lot. Just enjoyed our time being there. The whale lady gave great presentations and the Captain did a really cool presentation on navigation and running the ship.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Saw a few shows and enjoyed what we saw.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Probably the friendliest on any cruise we have been on. Room steward was great as well as the dining staff and bartenders.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Older ship but there was always somebody cleaning something. Smaller type ship with less of a crowd. Perfect for us.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Balcony cabin. Typical for a cruise ship. Clean and comfortable. No complaints.

Ship tip

Just enjoy. I feel like too many people look for things to complain about. It's a vacation. Would you rather be at work?

Ports of call

Bridgetown, Barbados

4 out of 5
Fun island tour. Again catered to rich tourists. I think $55 is a bit much for a burger. No, we turned and walked out.

St. John's, Antigua

3 out of 5
Another island tour with a good guide. Lots to see on these small islands. The beach visit was extremely crowded so we didn't really like that part too much.

Castries, St. Lucia

5 out of 5
Our favorite island. The Pitons were beautiful and the jungle foliage was very cool to see.

Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas

3 out of 5
Our least favorite port but still made the best of it. We did enjoy our time at Meagan's Bay. Too many shops catering to the rich tourists. I understand they need the tourism, but sometimes I just want to see what the real town is like.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

4 out of 5
Fun town with nice sites and good food. Would love to go back and spend more time.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

4 out of 5
Great excursion with a tour of the island. Good guide with lots of info. You get a real sense of how proud they are about their home.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
A little confusing as we sent our luggage ahead to the airport, then picked it up later just before checking in to our flight. Spent the day exploring so it was nice not to have to deal with luggage.
