Great trip, bad disembarkment at the end left bad taste in my mouth. Celebrity has you fill out disembarkment info online, but then doesn't obviously use that information at all, which makes no sense to not use it. Take it off the online registration.

Review summary

I was disappointed with two things, I wanted to travel more during the day when we were within sight of land, but a lot of the traveling was done during the dark. I went to Alaska to see the scenery and wildlife. I went to the shopping helpful info talk in the theatre and was disappointed about the commercialization of it. I was not at all interested in buying jewelry and this seemed like the theme of this trip.

The comedian we saw on this trip was excellent, unfortunately I cannot remember his name, but he was the one that did the over 18 only show

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All servers were excellent, but we had Santika & Budi as our normal waiters and William as sommelier in the restaurant were absolutely superb. They were excellent in taking care of our every need and always had smiles on their faces. Our room steward was also excellent

Ship Quality

Very clean & maintained

Cabin / Stateroom

Noah took care of our cabin and was excellent. The only non-positive item I had with the room was how many times it was serviced each day, I wasn't sure we needed as many times as they came in, that was not fault of Noah, I'm sure that is set by Celebrity. The message light on the phone needs to be bigger and a brighter color. We were almost late for an excursion because we didn't see the message light. Make it red instead of green and bigger

Ship tip

Don't fill out online disembarkment info as they don't use it and you will later be confused about why they don't have it

Too much commercialization. I was very disappointed with number of non-Alaskan shopping areas. I was shocked about all of the diamond stores, not what I went to Alaska for

Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska

Loved this port the best due to it being native Alaskan town. Whale watching here was superb

Juneau, Alaska

Too much non-Alaskan shopping, too many diamond stores. Dog sledding we did here was excellent

Skagway, Alaska

Too much non-Alaskan commercialization here, we wanted native Alaskan. Did train trip here which was great scenery & informative

Seward (Anchorage), Alaska

Liked this port as it was Alaskan native, not the commercialization of some other areas

I filled out the "ONLINE" disembarkment information on your website when I registered for this trip on Celebrity .com Our train to Anchorage was leaving Seward at 6:00 PM which I clearly indicated. We were kicked off the ship at 7:00 am. I asked why, and they said we hadn't filled out some "PAPER" dismbarkment info they said was given to us. Neither my husband nor I saw this supposed paper. Why would the online information I filled out not be used? If you are not going to use the online information, you shouldn't have customers fill it out. That is a really bad process, to have me fill this info out, then not use it, then accuse me of not filling out some piece of paper that I never saw . No one asked us about the disembarkment at all, like calling us or coming to our room to ask about this missing piece of paper. We did not know it even existed!

No matter what time your train was leaving, you can’t just stay on the ship. They have to get ready for next group. I’ve never been able to stay after 9 AM.

I always look for the native stores, not the ones right at the port.

You go to tourist destinations as a tourist then complain lol

No cruises listed in your profile . When did you go that it was dark out? We went on the Celebrity Solstice to Alaska in 2015. Celebrity is the best.
