Review summary

We loved all the locations we visited. We had a great time on board of the Millennium thanks to the great personnel.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
Embarkation went smoothly, no queue at the check-in desk and only 5 minutes waiting time before we could get on board. Very efficient, as we know Celebrity for. In the waiting area there were plenty chairs and free drinks.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
At night we only made use of the main dining room. This year we did not reserve a time and we only had to wait once for 5 minutes. No pain, as we were sitting sipping on a drink. The service of the waiters was perfect. Just perfect timing and friendly, a little chat and very polite. The food was excellent; every night plenty of choice. Never disappointed, maybe some dishes were not 100% our taste, but this is very personal. Meat, fish and vegetables are cooked just the right amount of time. The lobster tail was the highlight and we got another one after we said we loved it. Whenever we could not make a choice out of 2, we got both.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
We only used the casino facilities.

The Casino

5 out of 5

We played roulette a few times. We do not have gambling experience, so nothing to compare. We had a good night. The personnel was helpful and took time to explain.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The shows were very good and some were outstanding. Plenty of variety.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Mar and Erwin were our waiters for most evenings. We loved them. We had a good laugh, professional services and always a friendly smile. Rosa was our sommelier and we appreciated her service and knowledge on the wines.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
When this would have been our first cruise ever, I would have rated 5 stars. But just as we have a comparison with another ship (Celebrity Constellation) we give 4 stars. The room was just slightly less clean. The ship seemed a bit older, while it is just as old. Just minor points, nothing to seriously complain about.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was good. My personal taste is to have it a bit more modern, but this no issue. I would opt for a renovation within the short future. Everything worked and all necessities were there.

Ship tip

If the weather allows, have breakfast at the rear of the ship. Best way to start your day.

Ports of call

Singapore

5 out of 5
Close to the city, good facilities, clean.

Laem Chabang (Bangkok), Thailand

5 out of 5
This is an industrial port, which had its charm; enough to see. The distance to Bangkok was 1,5 hour by taxi. When you mentally prepare for that travel time, it is fine. Just enjoyed the trip by looking outside and absorb this country.

Phu My (Ho Chi Minh City), Vietnam

5 out of 5
The port was a bit far from the city, but again; if you anticipate on this, you can just enjoy the ride by looking arround.

Chan May (Hue), Vietnam Did not visit port

Bad weather

Ha Long Bay City (Hanoi), Vietnam

5 out of 5
This is by far the most beautiful “Harbour”. Sailing through this miracle was amazing. The ship was positioned close to shore, with a view on the rocks. Tender boots took us to shore within a few minutes.

Hong Kong

5 out of 5
Well organized, clean, free shuttle to the center (you have to wait a bit). Taxi is 30$ to the airport.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Well organized. We are always surprised how so many guests get on and off board so easily. No waiting line.
