Celebrity Millennium Cruise to AlaskaEmba

Sail Date: July 29, 2016

Reviewed: 10 months ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

Cruising by the Hubbard Glacier was spectacular. Words cannot describe the beauty. The beauty of the landscapes, sceneries, and sunsets were spectacular. There was plenty to do on the ship during the cruise. Food, staff, Casino, and entertainment on the ship were great.

Cabin / Stateroom
There was plenty of storage space that made it easy to put everything away and move around the room easily. Liked having the safe in our room. Balcony was nice to enjoy the landscapes and scenery. Our Steward was excellent. Took care of all our needs.
Embarkation and Disembarkation
Embarkation was excellent. Disembarkment routine could have been smoother. Once off the ship there was not a Celebrity representative to direct you to buses to the airport that were booked through Celebrity.
Ship Quality
Ship was very easy to maneuver around.
Destinations and Excursions
Enjoyed all the ports except for Icy Straight Point. Could have done without that stop. The excursion, tram ride through the forest to the beach was uneventful. Trolley tour in Ketchikan was disappointing, thought it was going to be a trolley ride through the city with history narrative. Trolley went from port to a totem pole village where we got off and spent 1/2 an hour and then were returned to port. Excursions in Juneau and Skagway were excellent.
Onboard Activities
Service and Staff
Service and staff were excellent
Food and Dining
Food was excellent
Seward (Anchorage), Alaska
Did not get to do anything in Seward but board the ship.
Cruise Hubbard Glacier
Go up to deck 10 or 11 for best views
Juneau, Alaska
Whale watching
Skagway, Alaska
Helicopter ride, landing and walking on Meade Glacier
Icy Strait Point (Hoonah), Alaska
Ketchikan, Alaska
Cruise Inside Passage, Alaska
Vancouver (Canada Place), British Columbia
Did not do anything in Vancouver, went directly to airport.

Don't book your excursions through Celebrity. There were plenty of excursions available at each port through the locals. Just make sure of guaranteed return to port based on the time you need to be back on the boat before it sails again.
