Review summary

We took the 3 day pre-cruise trip up to Denali and then the 7 day cruise down to Vancouver.  We had absolutely fabulous weather the whole trip except for one day in Ketchikan when it was cloudy - but by then it was good to see what normal Alaskan weather was like!  We had not gone into this cruise with a great deal of enthusiasm, but I would say it was one of the best we've done.  Every port has something interesting and the Millennium was a beautiful ship and the staff was as attentive as all Celebrity ships.  We were Aqua and so ate in Blu - as always a pleasure.  I would highly recommend this trip to everyone, and if possible, take the pre-cruise extension - they do 3, 5 or 7 day extensions.  They are tiring as you have to be up early every morning so best to do it at the beginning of the trip so you can relax more on the ship.

We didn't do any of the shows as nothing really appealed to us. The Beyond the Podium speaker, Milos, was very funny. We did enjoy the music in the Rendez-vous lounge each evening.

Usual Aqua cabin. Our first time on Deck 11. I had picked this so that we wouldn't have an overhang to interrupt photos - glad I did. As the weather was unusually warm when we were there, there were a couple of days when our cabin got hot and it was too hot to sit out but being able to see outweighed that. I wouldn't want this deck on a hot Caribbean cruise but for a cooler cruise it is ideal.
