Review summary

I must say that I got no help from my travel agent other than my booking. I will not use WTH again. I was pulling my hair out at the end trying to get info about the covid testing. I wound up calling Celebrity itself for info. We were supposed to be Concierge. We didn`t see anything until the third day. Iam diamond plus with RC which meant Elite for Celebrity. It didn`t matter until day4.I asked for my friend`s birthday to be celebrated on day 2. It wasn`t, If I hadn`t brought things myself, nothing would have been done. Disappointing!!!!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
They always had the same food. Did not change up the buffet. The dining room did make changes but getting in and seated was challenging.

Onboard Activities

2 out of 5
They scheduled everything to take place at the same time. You had to really decide what took preference.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The stage shows were great I give them kudos for entertainment.

Children's Programs

Didn`t have any children with me.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
I felt the ship was understaffed. You had a long wait before anything was done. Except for our room Steward, Rhonda. She was terrific.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
The ship was old and in need of refurbishing.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
The balcony was a disappointment. It was half size and we couldn`t see around the bump of next cabin.

Ship tip

Don`t expect too much. This was my first Celebrity although I`ve done 24 Royal Caribbean. They say Celebrity is a step up. I have to disagree.

Ports of call

Key West, Florida

4 out of 5
Hop on hop off through the town.

Bimini, Bahamas

4 out of 5
We went to world class resorts. Love the pools. Didnt care for the beach. Drinks were way to expensive. I paid $21.00 for a bahama mama.

Grand Turk Island

4 out of 5
We went to Bajari Beach. It was nice. Clean, blue water.

Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic

3 out of 5
We went to the beach. The water wasn`t blue. The natives kept on pestering for products. Annoying. We had to pretend to be sleeping in order to get them to leave us alone.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
They were behind schedule but, we were able to secure transportation to airport. We wouldn`t have made our flight otherwise.

Must have been your agent. I’ve been booking through WTH for every cruise I’ve taken. ( 9 so far and my agent is awesome. She has never dropped the ball on any of my cruises.

Perhaps your travel agent dropped the ball. When you first cruise with Celebrity, prior to cruising, you need to contact their Captains Club department to get your Captains Club number assigned in the Elite status. Your agent could have done this for you. ( I am an agent). I assume you booked into Concierge Class, and were expecting the extra attention. If you don’t contact the concierge desk for a pillow menu, they don’t come to you. Because of Covid, I’m sure some things fell by the wayside. In my opinion, Concierge is a waste of money. Your Elite perks are far better. We have booked Concierge ourselves a couple times, we won’t do it again, we are also Elite status. Right now all cruise lines are operating at a lower level than we are accustomed to. Shortages in all areas, even food quality isn’t up to par. We recently cruised Oasis, and found the food to be meh. We prefer Royals entertainment over Celebrity for sure. Don’t give up on Celebrity, next time try a new ship of theirs, you might see a huge difference.
