Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. This was only the 3rd time out for the Infinity since the Covid shutdown, and I think that it showed in some aspects of the service and food quality. These were all new ports for us, and a couple of them weren't that great.
Celebrity gets excellent marks from us on:
- Entertainment was excellent.
- Air department was exceptionally helpful. We booked our flights through them and they really stepped up when one of our flights was cancelled.

Embarkation
5 out of 5
Due to airline issues, we arrived shortly before they closed boarding. There were no lines and the process was smooth and quick.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food quality in the main dining room seemed a little lower than our last Celebrity cruise in 2021. The buffet had good variety, but taste and temperature were somewhat lacking.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Not that many options on the Infinity, but we knew that when we booked the cruise.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
As expected with Celebrity, the entertainment was outstanding. During the entire week, there was only one performer that we thought was not up to the expectations for a Celebrity cruise.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Wait staff in the main dining room was generally good, with some being excellent. Our room steward never introduced himself to us, so we weren't even sure which steward was taking care of our room. This is unusual and disappointing for a Celebrity cruise, as the stewards are normally very friendly and asking what they can do to make the trip great for us.
Ship Quality
5 out of 5
Clean and well maintained, as expected.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
The size and configuration of the room was exactly as expected. The BIG negative was that we were unable to control the temperature in the room. The room was freezing cold all of the time. There's a thermostat in the room, but even moving it all the way up to full heat did not alter the temperature in the room at all.
We did a snorkeling excursion, which was just ok. We've had much better ones in other ports on other cruises. He had a taxi take us to the "shopping", which was a joke. We spent some time on Governors Beach, which was nice.
We had a driver for the day. The "sights" in Puerto Plata aren't really worth seeing. We took the cable car up to the top of the mountain and toured the botanical gardens. It was very peaceful and beautiful up there.
