We are in the dining room for the first night only- it was lovely but we wanted the freedom of anytime dining so ate most of our meals on the ocean view cafe.

Book a suite as dining in Kuminae is like dining in a specialty restaurant daily. Take advantage of the suite's perks including Michael's club and the concierge. Take advantage of your suite's butler. Between those two, they will right every wrong.

The ship is the perfect size because it's big enough to have everything you need, but not so big that you have bunches of people to wait in lines everywhere you go.

I THINK SHORE EXCURSIONS ARE MORE EXPENSIVE. MY FAMILY WAS MORE ADVENTUROUS AND DID THINGS ON OUR OWN BY SPEAKING WITH THE LOCALS.

Spend time before cruise in Rome and after in Spain. Read about the history before traveling so you can pick shore excursions to suit you.. We found it most helpful to hire a tour guide who spoke our language to give us additional facts about our tour. Loved the private and small group tours.

There is a lot to do on board the Equinox - so much that you almost need a vacation from your vacation! Go to the 7 PM show in the theater and make 8 PM dinner reservations. The shows are 45 minutes, so you have time to make both! Then after dinner you can enjoy other activities on board.
