Review summary

The total experience was more that I imagined it would be. The ship's crew was friendly, helpful, and extremely hard working. The food was delicious with many options to choose from and several places to eat. Our wait staff was attentive. The cafe bistro offered various refreshing coffee drinks which were a pleasant afternoon respite.

There were many options in each port for shore excursions. The wide variety offered everyone a tour of something they found appealing, food, adventure, history, etc.

it was exciting to step back in history and see sites built in b.c. and imagine yourself in those surroundings.

We enjoyed about half of the night time shows. Others were just okay.

Ship Quality

In cabins that accommodate three or more guests, additional storage space would be helpful. The third bed was left as a bed for the entire cruise, thus leaving us no place to sit.

Cabin / Stateroom

The cabin was meant for two people but we managed nicely although more storage space would certainly have be welcomed. The cabin was clean. In cabins with more than two people, extra chairs should be provided so each person has a place to sit to enjoy the view from the balcony.

Ship tip

Spend time before cruise in Rome and after in Spain. Read about the history before traveling so you can pick shore excursions to suit you.. We found it most helpful to hire a tour guide who spoke our language to give us additional facts about our tour. Loved the private and small group tours.

Loved this city. Get a guide to lead you to the most important sites as time is limited. Would be great if the ship could spend two days in this port rather than in Palma de Mallorca.
