The Blu dining was wonderful. The staff really made you feel special. They were sensitive to your likes and dislikes and did everything in their power to please you.

The entertainment was wonderful especially Jayne Curry.

Thanksgiving cruise by noreen2002

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Being at sea.  The islands seem all very beautiful but much the same; always souvenir and jewelry shops; not a shopper and get tired of that hazzle.  And some of the tours that you pay for are very boring and sorry we spent the money.

Amazing! by kdorman

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

This was an amazing cruise.  The ship was well-maintained and the crew were very kind, generous, and attentive.  The ports of call were good and a good  variety of excursions were offered.  My husband and I enjoyed most of the evening shows.  We were pleased that many of them were less crude than we have seen on other cruise lines.

CELEBRITY by thomas90925120

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

Awesome Trip.  The service was outstanding.  My wife has dietary needs that the waiter Venkat met and exceeded our expectations.  Our room steward Dana if by magic kept  our room clean and ready for each part of the day.  The food melted in your mouth with each bite and you only wanted more.  Great cruise to relax and get away from it all. Happy

Disappointed by imawalker49

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We were disappointed with the ports in Costa Rica and Panama. If we had decided not to take a tour and stay in town we were told it was dangerous and there was no place to go.

Had a wonderful time! by mebarrand

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Equinox was super clean, the food was amazing, the service was exceptional!

The crew works so hard to make everyone happy. Thank you, COCO and Liubva.

We had a balcony cabin, 6199... very quiet. A bit of an obstructed view.

What does need improvement is the cost of the internet. Very pricey. Should be free... so many people were upset when they found out the cost. This is the age of technology and the internet should be free. It is in every hotel you stay at!?

$13.50 per person,  was charged to our cabin every day for tips. ($27 a day)

OUCH!

Another improvement would be the photographs.

All the photographers are different.. which is good, but in choosing your photos at the end of trip...  we chose the digital pkg. 6 photos for $125.

Why would they not give you the 6 prints as well??? Chintzy! They burn them.

Once you get home... the digitals are watermarked so that makes them not as clear... very frustrating to choose. Would never do that if we knew.

We took a taxi from the port in Fort Lauderdale to the airport.. was $15...

We only had a 20 dollar bill... He said he didn't have change!!??

Have the right change or you'll get taken like we did.. he knew we were in a hurry...

The cruise was great... but now we are more aware of what happens when you cruise...

Celebrity's Booking of Delta Flights by jlowerat

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Transatlantic

Celebrity booked our flights with Delta.  A few weeks before the trip we checked on these reservations and all was well.  However, the night before as we tried to get boarding passes we encountered 2 1/2 hours of frustration.  First of all, Delta said there was no reservation for Jacki.  I had to call Celebrity and confirm there was one.  Then,Jacki's name was mispelled, and the Delta agent had to try to remedy that error.  The Celebrity agent said that they could not change the spelling as they had already changed it once before, and that we should go to the airport early and "beg" them to change it.  THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE BEHAVIOR FOR A CELEBRITY AGENT.

When we got on the ship, I went to the Guest Relations desk, told them of our frustration.  The clerk did her best to make sure all would be well when we took the flights home.

The day before we left as we attempted to print our boarding passes, the same thing happened as it did when we started.  LaToya at Guest Relations spent one hour 45 minutes working to remedy the situation.  She did the best she could, working past her shift.  But the point is there never should have been a problem in the first place.  We have been loyal Celebrity customers for about 25 cruises and are very disheartened that this would happen, not once, but twice in one trip.

We believe compensation is in order.

James and Jacki Ratledge

Fabulous Ship...too big for us! by vaphillis

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Transatlantic

The Celebrity Equinox ship is fabulous - the finishes are lovely.  The ship is very well cared for.  There are many venues (bars, restaurants, relaxation areas, etc) and all are well appointed.  The pool area is quite large with comfortable lounge chairs and bar/food service.

The actually crossing - at sea - was our favorite part of the cruise.  We enjoyed the down time as well as the opportunity to participate in many varied activities. The guest lecturers were very interesting professionals.  The entertainment was excellent - from "broadway" type shows to jugglers & musicians.

Our favorite port of call was Tenerife.  This island has beautiful views and many nice beaches and a good variety of landscape.  The island is clean and well developed.   Our least favorite port of call was Agadir - we have toured Morocco in the past and found the country interesting, safe and full of history - a real jewel.  However, Agadir was not at all interesting......it is safe but was reduced to ruins by an earthquake in 1960.

We would recommend this itinerary to others.

Transatlantic is.... by jlbranch

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Transatlantic

too long!  We thought we would enjoy all those sea days, but it got repetitive--sleep, eat, entertainment, more eating, another show, more eating, another show and sleep.  The ship was great, food was very good, service was impeccable--and after 8 days, we couldn't wait to get home!

Overall cruise intinerary. by Cruiser98735970

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Transatlantic

The itinerary was great! However, Celebrity Cruises, the Equinox, was fallen by the wayside insofar as their main dining room meals.  The cabin stewards were excellent and the ship was very clean.  There needed to be more pool butlers as getting a drink was sometimes difficult without going to the bar yourself.  Speciality restaurants were exquisite and up to our expected standards. We will be cruising again, but not on Celebrity.

Best cruisedirector and entertainment ever by charleenle

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Transatlantic

The cruise director Alejandro was unbelievable.  He let the Latin dance classes on the pool deck every afternoon at 12:30.  He was available from 8am to after midnight every day.  Did the morning show, then all the game shows, introduced all the nightly entertainment and took joking from Jayne Curry who called him "ratatouille".  Jayne Curry was the best entertainer we have ever had.  Great singer but even a better performer.  It was so great that she was able to stay on the complete sailing for 8 days before pulling into Ft. Lauderdale.  We were able to see her 4 or 5 times on stage as well as around the ship.  Food was great at dining room and café as well as super hamburgers at the grill.  Our room steward, Margaret Tenie did everything we asked of her plus 100% more!

Keep the Good things free!!! by dideb2796165584

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

I was so looking forward to the evening sushi in the Oceanview Café (buffet) and had told so many friends about it. I was so disappointed they didn't have it, but had a sushi restaurant I didn't use.  Celebrity has struggled with that space and they should use it as a Captain's Club area.  I am surprised how many people I speak with that don't realize the benefits of the Captains Club.  If they designated it as the Captain's Club Celebrity could offer a free drink/cruise for Classic members (yes, top shelf), two three free drinks for Select members, along with appetizers such as shrimp, cheese, spreads with baguette slices, etc.  Please pass this on to Celebrity as it was a huge disappointment.

Equinox and Friends by devriesbl

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Europe

I enjoyed this cruise immensely.  The cruise itinerary was good overall.  It would have been better if 2 of the last 3 days weren't at sea.    The cabins were very nice and the attendants were very responsive.  The food and cocktails were excellent and the drink packages were a good buy.  The wait staff during dinner in the Silhouette Dining Room and in particular Arta were always very pleasant and accommodating.  They really made those at our table look forward to the evening dining experiences.  I also enjoyed having dinner in the Tuscan Restaurant.

Great time on Celebrity cruise by lisatusi

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Europe

We had a great time on the cruise.  Would prefer that we had more time in port...meaning to stay overnight in some ports rather than make so many stops.  Excursions kind of rushed due to limited time in each port.

The accommodations on the Equinox were very nice as was all of the cruise staff on the Equinox

Overall experience by Cruiser38906693

The Cruise was absolutely fantastic. As with many past Celebrity cruises, the overall holiday was first class from the condition and standards of the ship to service from the crew.

Great Itinerary, Great Crew, Some Ship Refreshing Needed by Cruiser879

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

This cruise had a great itinerary and the crew on the ship were fantastic.  The ship is starting to show her age, but they are trying to keep it in shape.  They have a great cleaning program that prevents illness.  The dining service was superb, but the food could have been better.  The entertainment is top notch, especially the production folks and the Tenors of Rock were fantastic.

Great Fall Getaway by sharonmock

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Equinox / Destination: Europe - Mediterranean

The ports featured on this cruise were excellent.  Chania was a real surprise as I have not seen it on other itineraries.  I would love having a clock in the cabin or the time displayed on the TV screen. Our room attendants, Chris and Vlad were most attentive and helpful.  The restaurant staff was equally impressive with Marina, Ally and JV assigned to our table.  Kosta was also very humorous and kept us laughing when ever he would visit our table.  Shows were good as well.  Beautiful theatre and very professional. Food was excellent!
