Review summary

Great time with only one problem on an excursion. Will be sailing with Celebrity again! Surprised that Celebrity staff did not care about excursion problems.

Had dinner here most evenings. Food and service were excellent. Many thanks to Angellus (waiter), Wilson (assistant waiter), and Husen (Sommelier)! All of them made efforts to say hi when they were working at breakfast also. Their service and friendliness was awesome and made the cruise awesome.

Fun, fun, fun! One of my favorites to hang at during the evening. Fun entertainment and bartenders were excellent!

We grabbed a latte, americano, and Red Bull here daily. Service was great and quality was good!

Some of the staff were very helpful with booking or changing excursions. Where the ball was dropped on this cruise not caring about problems with excursion and whether they were selling a bad excursion. Lucky only had problem with one port.

Enjoyed the musical and broadway like shows. Musicians were great! Comedian was average at best.

One our favorite places to hang out in the evening. Enjoyed the live music. Bartenders were great!

Dining and room steward staff were awesome! They helped make the trip excellent! Only problem was with excursion and guest services desk not caring about one problem excursion. See details for Puerto Plata.

Least favorite port. Excursion for ultimate beach excursion was not even close to ok. It was miserable. The excursion was oversold and area designated did not have adequate space for everyone. Winds were brisk and made being on the beach miserable. Basically being sand blasted. Limited area for getting into the ocean. We spent the afternoon in a restaurant instead of on the beach. No way to return early. Asked about getting a taxi but were told that was not safe. Had to wait for at least 3 hours to return on buses. Celebrity excursion desk said they could not control the weather and dismissed non-weather related problems. I am not sure they even know if the wind is ever better. This was the only major problem with this cruise.

Disembarkation

We stayed in concierge class and my expectation was priority debarkation. We were the last group departing the ship. Not sure what happened. Did not cause any travel issues going home.
