Review summary

Must honestly say, with the length of the cruise, and what I felt was a decrease in shows and such, topped with the buffet that lacked any seafood, and decreased quality. Those things ended up making it a bit of a long cruise. Got a bit stir crazy, and didn't want to see the buffet by the end. Nothing looked good, after looking at basicly the same stuff for 8 days. Literally ate a burger the last night, that was it. Wished it would of had more up beat shows to see, and entertainment.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
You used to take these trips with the expectation of great food in the buffet's. I hate to say, this is no longer the case. The food was very plain, and routine. Most of the Cake was not cake, but a small cake layer maybe 5mm thick at the bottom, with a cheap cream type gel with whatever flavor they would call it. This was on nearly every desert. Very CHEAP and unbecoming what you used to get. My biggest dissapointment was there was nearly no seafood. This was one of the main reasons I'd look foreward to a cruise. Only the last day did they have any attempt at any seafood, and that was just Fried cod. No shrimp, No crab. Again, not like it used to be. With a cruise this long, even my wife felt it was not as good as years past. Now for the main dining room, Food was a bit better, but again hardly any seafood, and when there was ( ie... Lobster ) your now only allowed 1 lobster. If you wanted more, you had to pay dish price. So basicly, your paying for much less, but with prices that are much higher. Makes us think twice to cruise anymore. Now of coarse, if your wanting the food that we used to see, you now have to go to the specialty restuarants, and you will pay $79-105 per person for food that is quite good. It was out best meal by far. The above thoughts come from frequent travelers, chefs, and Foodies. Service was always excellent, no matter where you went. Cudo's to all that served us. Thank you.

Onboard Activities

about the same as other cruises i've taken

Entertainment

2 out of 5
Really felt the entertainment was lacking. No big broadway like show. Alwasy liked to go to those, Just felt that the 1 of 2 comedy shows was OK, The musical was so so. Just felt as if not as much effort is being placed on these either. more cuts i guess. Sad.

Service and Staff

all staff were great.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was top rate in its cleanliness, and beauty.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our cabin steward was absolutely amazing. It was like he was a ghost, and we'd look away for one second, and suddenly he had been there without us seeing. Not sure how he did it. Always clean towels, everything was clean and straight. I would hightly suggest he be given the ability to advance quickly. He was A+

Ship tip

Do yourself a favor, and go to the back of the ship, out the back doors of the Buffet dining hall. Great place to sit, a bar is there that is often forgotten about. Take the stairs up from there to the next level, and theres another bar. Great place to spend the evening and relax.

Disembarkation

quick and easy. Best way is to keep your bags, that way you don't have to get off the ship and wait for your bags to show up in order to leave. Just walk off the ship with your bags, and away you go.
