An outstanding cruise by BonnieT1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

We just returned from two weeks on the Celebrity Constellation to New England and Canada. This was our second time on this cruise/ship and it was as wonderful as last year. The activities at each port were very enjoyable and well-run. The ship continues to be a class act. Dining was delicious with a separate highend restaurant, and also a more casual evening diningroom. The buffet during the day was more a food court with choices from many countries, in addition to the standard pizza and burgers by the pool. There was the usual outdoor pool/hot tubs, but also an indoor heated lassotherapy pool (salt water) and hot tubs that were wonderful after a day of sightseeing. I made use of the spa several times and it was most enjoyable. The entertainment was varied and delightful, with lots of things to do on the ship. This cruise is for an older crowd, with only 3 children on board. It was hard to leave the ship and new friends from all over the world.

A very senior cruise by PatB3

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Canada, New England, New York

About 95% of the cruisers were over 65 - would not recommend this cruise for young couples or families. The ship is in need of refurbishment. Carpeting and furniture showed signs of wear and the decor was pretty uninteresting. Have traveled on Holland America and Princess lines and would rate both higher than this Celebrity ship in overall satisfaction. Food was hit and miss -- some meals were excellent while some were only "fair". Most of the seafood was "fishy" tasting, overcooked, dry and tough. Our stateroom attendant and wait-staff at the restaurant were excellent. The nightly shows were good and the excursions were very good which saved this cruise from a "poor" rating.

huge disappointment...celebrity has drop by Gilly

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

The ship is nice... the hygeine is bad ... Celebrity is not a 5 star cruise line and have fallen bad in customer service and have cut staff so severly. The attitudes of the staff is rude and lazy. The upper management is also rude. The staff doesnt even say Hi or goodmorning, They get their tip added to the cruise so the quality of service is gone fast.

The best cruise ever by VincentP

Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The ship was full of wonderful art, people and outside excursions. Barely any motion of the ship was felt at sea and we had to keep reminding ourselves we were at sea instead of at an all inclusive resort.

A Fabulous Cruise by MaryR19

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Caribbean - Western

The Celebrity Constellation was, by far, the best cruise ship we've sailed. It's a classy vs glitzy vessel. Its layout is passenger friendly with great signage to help you get around and there are many conveniently located elevators and restrooms. The buffet at Seaside Cafe is by far the best we've ever had with a variety of choices, all very gourmet and personalized, e.g., a chef at the stir fry, pasta, breakfast stations. The staff was excellent, available everywhere to assist with every need and request. The dining room was very tasteful...foodwise and and decorwise. This cruise, The 11 Day Ultimate Caribbean" carried a full passenger load yet one never felt rushed, pushed, crowded or had difficulty finding seating in special spots on the ship. The casino was great fun with a lively staff that engaged people to mix with each other and just have fun. The only negative thing I would mention is for wine drinkers it can be a little pricey as the wine, by the glass, is expensive. Other than that, I'd say book it and have a wonderful time.

A great Ship by JimC30

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Caribbean - Eastern

After sailing on the Millenium through the Panama Canal last year, we were disapointed when we arrived in the room anf found a couch with holes in it. After I mentioned this to one of the ships crew, a new couch was placed in the room the very next day. While I am aware that personnel on the ship had been cut back, the service on the Constellation was excellent and the food was great. I was disapointed in the tours, and one tour that was listed as a 3 hour train ride turned out to be a 1.5 hour ride on a bus over a very rough road and then a train ride back to the port. Although the tours were listed as mild, I had to cancel the last two tours that I had scheduled for my wife since they were to hard for her since she had had a knee replacement. I would like to say that overall, we had a great trip on the Constellation, and I would highly recommend the ship to others but would choose the side tours with caution. The crew on board did everything that they could to satisfy our requirements.

I thought the ship was kept spot clean. I never saw anything dirty or out of place. Food was hot and well presented. Entertainment was poor to medocre not very good. comedy acts were old material. The arobic couple were good bot they only did 1 small routine .

Celebrity Constellation by Terry

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Caribbean - Western

A very good ship and well run, very disappointed with the entertainment both at night and during sea days. More for the elderly and NOT for the young. Recommend buffet for breakfast and lunch but dinner in the main dining room. The best customer service we have experienced. Cabins a bit on the small side especially when compared to Princess.

A Great Time! by NancyB17

Sail date: / Traveled as:
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

The chef made a special dessert (low fat) for my husband each night and produced a special meal for me just because I had said I would like Indian food for a change. The entertainment was Broadway caliber and Perry Grant made the cruise for us!

Terrible Customer Service by Fred11

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Caribbean

I do not recomend for anyone to go to Celebrity Cruise line at all. They false advertize . They promised us a $200.00 onboard credit for a return client, when we got to the ship they said there is no such a thing only $50.00 they will honor. My travel agent tried to resolve a problem and they said that there is nothing they can do!!!!!!!!!! Do no recommend Celebrity cruise line-they are a rip-off!!!!!!!!!!

Destinations good, cruise ship gone down by ValerieC2

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

We have been on this ship before. It has gone down a lot. Old movies from the 40s was the main entertainment three nights. Two singers and a "comedian" were not good. The food in the main dining room was so, so - but in the cafeteria it was inedible. Corkage fee for own wine at $25 is shocking. Coffee undrinkable unless you paid for it at the Cova Cafe. The soda ticket pricey and very hard to get a second soda at meals. The crew were very good - waiters and state room. But not much to do on board. The up-scale dining experience was excellent, but just pointed out how mediocre the food was in the main dining hall and an up-charge of $30 per person meant it should have been excellent.

Not so wonderful by RandyM1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Europe - Northern Europe

this might be great if you like to sit around playing cards. Not a great ship for dancing as the lounge entertainment was so so. People in bed by 10:30. After losing my cell phone and laptop to water coming in my stateroom from the outside, I felt the cruiseline might offer somthing more than just replacing my items. Trust me when I say it was startling to have your window break and flood your room and get totally soaked. I was on the 3rd deck for those interested .

An outstanding experience. by EvelineS

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Celebrity Constellation / Destination: Caribbean - Southern

This was probably the best ocean cruise we have ever taken. Just about everything went like clockwork from boarding to disembarkation. We had Concierge stateroom for the first time and found it to be well worth the extra money and the extra space ( 20 sq.ft. bigger than Deluxe Ocean View with Verandah) was an amazing improvement. Also the amenities were excellent (see below) and the bigger table on balcony allowed us to eat most breakfasts there watching the ocean flow by. Electric outlets were better located, lighting was better, new fixtures in bathroom and bedding/linens were top quality. Service is always excellent on Celebrity cruises but somehow staff seemed truly happy to be of service on this ship. Food in the main didning room was a bit "spotty" at times...cool temperature of food and not-so-tender meat but food at buffets (and variety was outstanding and evening casual dining was very good also. We would like to add one comment re concierge staterooms with obstructed views: some are listed in the brochure for Constellation but be aware that Concierge staterooms on Sky Deck ABOVE the ones listed on Panorama deck als have somewhat obstructed views. The "obstruction" is metal scaffolding used to clean/paint the exterior and it runs along a rail when in use. When the ship is underway it is parked between 2 staterooms effectively blocking their views to the right or left. There is one of these contraptions on both sides of the ship and they are 2 decks high. So be forewarned if your view is important. We have nothing but the highest praise for Constellation from Captain down ..in fact we're booked on it again next year!
