BYE!!!……. OK BYE!!! by wwrobert

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Vista

Overall a good cruise, probably won’t do a summer cruise anymore, way too many people. But it was a free cruise so what’s not too like. Enjoyed the vista very much but hate the Houston traffic on the way out 😞 also very much liked kyndell fire the cruise director, bye…..ok byeeeee!

Great experience. cant wait for our next cruise! by Joydiggstravel

Sail date: / Traveled as: Large Group
Ship: Carnival Vista

Went with 16 members of my family. I was the host. The ship is amazing and the staff was terrific. Loved that they had the digital photos but I didnt get to download my pics before I left the ship and 7 days later I am having issues with getting them. Food was great. Such a great variety to choose from.

Great!!! by tiatanae

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)

Overall, I enjoyed this cruise. Kyndall Fire is awesome. I would cruise again with her if I could. Sadly she is leaving for another port soon. There were a lot of areas that were hot on this ship like hallways and buffet area. There were also a lot of leaking ceilings. I think this ship is going into dry dock soon so I know the issues will be addressed. There were a lot of quiet times on LIDO where no music was playing at all. There needs to be some type of music to keep people entertained. I would suggest wearing a mask on the cruise as it was packed.

Carnival Vista Slow going but smooth by clmangi

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (young children)
Ship: Carnival Vista / Destination: Caribbean - Western

Sailed May 28-June 4 2022, cruising speed was slow no higher then 20 knots. Ship was in good shape but the engine issue needs to be addressed sooner then later. The cruise was completely sold out to max capacity. The crew was great but definitely over whelmed by the amount of passengers. Some venues were closed due to the lack of crew. The slides were closed but the sky ride and ropes course were open during peak times. Good luck getting a lounge chair. Some deck parties were canceled due to weather or short staff. There were a lot of people reporting that they tested positive on the day that they returned or while on the cruise. Ports were good, be careful in Jamaica. Grand Cayman Turtle Farm was great, Cozumel Dolphin experience was excellent. All were through Carnival.

Overall, a nice cruise definitely worth what we paid by jallaway

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Vista

There were a few annoyances with the reduced services; but everyone tried very hard and I felt it was a very good cruise. I still have no idea if they've fixed the propulsion problems. The staff has been pretty mum about it. Since the port times were shorter and we usually sail about 2-4 knots faster, I'm guessing there still may be some issues

Frugal-struck! by msxenia

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Vista

We are Platinum cruisers and we felt like we weren’t appreciated for our loyalty. I think Carnival might be doing this to get us to go elsewhere and sell the rooms to newbies with no expectations. The cruise was good, but our ports were very short due to ship speed problems. For us this a good value cruise with no frills.

It was ok! Nothing spectacular! by Jamesgang1

Sail date: / Traveled as: Family (older children)
Ship: Carnival Vista / Destination: Caribbean - Western

It was our first cruise. I may have had to high of expectations. But, the food in the buffet was bland and not a good variety. It was the same food every morning for breakfast. I saw many videos of the food and it showed corn beef hash in the buffet, but,I could never get it. I was told it was only served in the MRD on the first day. Little things of small consequence happened. We had a good time but,not as much as expected.

Wait to Cruise on the Vista by babraddy

Sail date: / Traveled as: Singles/Friends
Ship: Carnival Vista / Destination: Caribbean - Western

i’ve done this cruise on the Vista now three times. Both first and second times for great and we made all the port stops. For anyone making it their first cruise I am sure they were very disappointed. I know cruising has just resumed but there were numerous issues, everything from the logistics of just getting to the port, engine trouble, the port innJamaica we were taken to due to the engine problem, and our Jamaica arrival time not to mention the Grand Cayman port cancellation. The internet service was spotty regardless of the level of service purchased and could not be depended on. Our late return to Galveston resulted in a chaotic disembarkment exercise. Importantly, ship staff and cruise director did their absolute best to make the cruise enjoyable for everyone.

Sailed with a known mechanical problem. It was not a good cruise by bschuett58

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Vista / Destination: Caribbean - Western

It was not fun. The mechanical problem caused us to lose a port stop to the Cayman Island. It caused us to be an extra 2 days on the ship because it was slow moving. The port in Jamaica got severely overwhelmed due to all the excursions getting pushed into one. We were on a time restraint so Jamaica and Cozumel got cut short. We could smell the fumes in around the elevators which 1/2 the time didn't work. The A/C was not at full capacity of cooling. The hours of breakfast was late at 7a.m and lunch at 12. need be earlier hours. The staff and crew were great, the food was good and the casino was nice. Paying over $2k for a nice vacation but being deceived by Carnival running a ship with known problems was not putting the safety and potential health hazards of the people first. It's about the money. WE will never do this particular cruise again. We would love to go the Cayman Island which is why we chose this itinerary. There were 4k people on this cruise and I know 80% were very upset about the whole thing.

Amazing crew & Amazing new Friends! by wakinsupra

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Vista

We met the most amazing people in the Havana private pool area that will remain friends forever. This made our experience on the ship amazing even with all the mechanical issues of the ship and cancelling of the best port. Carnival does need to step up and fix this issue with the Vista or they may lose some loyal customers!

Not a great cruise by DarleneGreeley

The continued issues with the Vista caused us to miss a port. No refrigerator for 7 days and below par food made it a challenge to find the silver lining.

It was memorable by Dlgb16

Sail date: / Traveled as: Couple
Ship: Carnival Vista / Destination: Caribbean - Western

We were very disappointed not to stop at Grand Caymans because of mechanical problems. This is the second cruise where they skipped this port. The food at the buffet was tasteless especially the dessert.
