The lido deck has a weird design, there’s hardly any sunbathing space-the ship was not designed for Americans. Watch videos about the elevators prior to boarding—trust me—and then avoid them the first 2 days. Also, bring seasickness meds, even if you don’t usually get seasick. Even on calm days there’s a lot of motion in the ship.
Do not overpack! If you can keep it to one suitcase and a carry on do that!! I would even suggest a backpack dtyle carry on because going out of New York you have to travel to the port and you want to make the process as smooth and easy as possible!
Eat from Guy's burger bar! If you want steak, don't get it from the restaurants but order the steak and cheese sandwich from the deli. Go to the shows!!!
Of the 4 Carnival ships I've been on, this is one of the Top 2 Best Ships. Carnival did have its issues with passengers making bad decisions, which were handled both swiftly and discreetly. Carnival is cracking down on some issues, and has dogs onboard trained to assist security.
overall, better than most ships with a good mix of guests. Kids were uncontrolled at times, and the ship staff should crack down on this kind of behavior. Food throughout could be greatly improved upon
Venezia is a bigger ship than expected. Check out ALL the spots to relax, guaranteed you'll find a place that suites you. Be kind to the staff, they work hard to keep things clean and to serve guests where they can.
We were rerouted to Bahamas due to Hurricane Lee. Disappointed we didn’t go to St.thomas, however, this is due to our safety and was not going to let it ruin my vacation
1. Get in line early for the shows especially the comedians.
2. Make sure you have clean, crisp bills. We had problems with vendors not accepting our cash that had any creases, tears or wear. It was frustrating.
