I really enjoyed the ship. The main pool and pool area was covered and heated which made it usable even in cold weather. I loved the decor. It was brighter than a typical Carnival ship. The entire trip was effected by the bad weather and rough sea conditions. Just a bit unlucky this trip. The Entertainment Squad worked hard to keep everyone entertained.
Embarkation

Very smooth but slow. The ship arrived late so there was a significant delay in boarding. Once we were allowed to start boarding, it went very quickly.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

I enjoyed the new "Emeril" selections in the main dining room. It was nice to see new selections.
Onboard Activities

Love the trivia games. Especially with the bad weather.
Entertainment
4 out of 5
The shows we saw were good. It felt like there were less of them. Nights with Deal or No Deal & Family Feud took their place. The comedians are always good.
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
No complaints about our steward or the dining room staff. There was one young lady (Katie) on the fun squad that didn't seem to enjoy her job. I think she's in the wrong line of work.
Ship Quality

Beautiful ship. I would love to sail on her again in warmer weather.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
I always book interior cabins because I only sleep there. The room size was typical but had half the storage of interior cabins on every other Carnival ship I've sailed on (this was my 10th). Pack light or be prepared to leave clothes sitting out in these rooms. The decor was nice.
Ship tip
Pack light. Storage space in the interior cabins is limited.
We were here in winter so walking the city was out of the question. Saw time square and had a wonderful dinner at a small Italian restaurant. The food was delicious.
We did the resort for a day excursion. It included food and drinks. The resort was nice and the drinks were strong. The weather was cloudy and chilly so we didn't really enjoy the beach or pool.
