I turned platinum this cruise so we had priority boarding. It took no time at all! The only thing that was a minor delay was having carry on’s sniffed by the dog.

Had table 297 (thank you John Heald). Our waitress was Myra. She was very friendly but kind of disorganized. One night dinner took 2 hours, the next it took an hour. The quality of the food was all very good and I very much enjoyed the new menu.

Lido Marketplace

All of your typical carnival favorites and familiar faces, with an Italian flare! Still enjoyed Guys burgers, burritos, salad bar. The buffalo chicken sandwich at the deli is superb!

Serenity Adult-Only Retreat

This Serenity is beautiful but we only spent a very short amount of time there. If you don’t go reserve your seat at 7am you aren’t getting one.

All the slides looked fun. We didn’t use this as the pool water was much too cold! But we utilized the track, mini golf, and sky gym and saw people enjoying the water park.

Every single person we met was so friendly! There is something about Carnival that always makes you feel at home. I like everyone calling me by my first name, it doesn’t offend me at all.

Ship Quality

The ship was always clean. Everything is still in great condition as I would expect as it is still the inaugural season. My one complaint would be the need to cut through the extremely smoky casino to get to the back of the 4th floor. I would have made that area of the casino non smoking. But that is just a me preference. However, it was very smoky in the evening. Morning or during the day wasn’t as bad.

Cabin / Stateroom

Perfect size and location. 6th floor is perfect range to all the floors with “action”

Ship tip

It is different than the “typical” Carnival ships, but you will still feel all the FUN and home “feels” of Carnival.

Freeport, Grand Bahama Island

We went to Grand Lucayan at lighthouse point. The grounds and the beach were beautiful! The water was cold but that’s Feb in the Bahamas! The only complaint is the cab driver forcing us to pay for both ways and then not picking us up. This caused us to then pay another $40 for a cab! Pay for one way only here .
