Progresso isn't the greatest place with pre-made shopping area to support the cruise ship. It was not near town so sucked for some. We planned an excursion so I had no issues with Progresso since I didn't do anything there.

Spring for the balcony room.... don't get off on floors 3,4,or 5, center.... bring some walkie-talkies if you have a large group (the Carnival Hub App didn't get a signal from floor 8, where I was, to floor 2, where my daughters were.... it was impossible to communicate to a lot of areas of the ship and Guest Services could not help).... yes, that is more than one piece of advice.

Don't expect a quiet relaxing cruise experience and don't expect any alcohol in your drinks.

Be prepared to dislike the smokiness of part of ship around the Casino. NOT good.

LOWER THE PRICES IN THE SPA. REALLY WANTED TO GET A COUPLES MASSAGE BUT IT WAS ALMOST $500 FOR THE BOTH OF US. ARW YOU KIDDING ME?

Definitely try to make it to the Alchemy bar! We had such a great experience there, we didn't realize we spent almost four hours there. Also, definitely try to make some of the shows they have on board. We didn't get a chance to and I kind of wish we did. They all sounded so interesting!

Do not put your luggage outside your room the last night, keep it in your room so you can disembark faster when you get to your last port.

Use lot of sunscreen, it is so easy to get sunburn. Also pre-order waters before your trip.

Expect to wait for drinks. The casino had only a few servers for the entire casino. Bars didn't seem to have enough bartenders either.

Be prepared to be able to climb a lot of stairs the first day because all but one elevator was shut down for luggage. That is crazy when 3000 people are trying to get around. Perhaps a large service elevator would be a good idea.
