Review summary

I love cruising and typically I love Carnival. Each time I cruise I find that it seems like they keep cutting staff. It really is hurting the overall experience. Again I love cruising and my room steward was fabulous but overall I would say service is slipping because of how stretched these people are who are doing the service. It's not their fault at all.

We went to the steak house one night and it was great. Wait staff was great because you got personalized service. Many people to help unlike the other dining room that has limited the number of wait staff so they have many tables.

I think the service you get considering they are VERY understaffed. We went to the sports bar to watch the masters golf tournament. There were probably 100 people in there with 1 bartender. The room stewards have like 30 cabins. They really need to increase the number of wait staff if they want to keep people coming back. Again my room guy was great but I feel like dining is another story. They are stretched too thin.

Expect to wait for drinks. The casino had only a few servers for the entire casino. Bars didn't seem to have enough bartenders either.

All cruise lines, except for the really high end ones are cutting back. Seems they're trying to satisfy the shareholders more than their customers.

Thanks for the review. That was my latest cruise experience, as well. And it was on the Valor. I was thinking to try another cruise line, but they've just moved the carnival dream to Galveston, so we're looking forward to that new experience in August.

Was not impressed

Husband and I had a wonderful time on our first cruise. Staff were super friendly and helpful. Shows were great and TJ cruise director was awesome!

Service left a bad taste in my mouth.
