Review summary

Ship is very dated. Not much outdoors for kids. Many people got sick once off the cruise. Allergy type symptoms and achy body. I was not impressed with the ship at all. Disappointed is an understatement.

Embarkation

Everything ran very smooth. Easy on, easy off. No FTTF needed.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Lemonade, water, or coffee. What happened to flavored water? Guy’s burgers are AMAZING!!

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Lack of!! One water slide and a pool. Boring for kids! My 11 year old could not wait to get off the ship.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
Great entertainment.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Old and dated. Layout was like a maze. Probably the worst ship we’ve been on. Was not impressed and was sad that many in our group experienced it as their first cruise.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Tight squeeze. One plug outlet! ONE!! Very dated decor and colors.

Ship tip

Bring an extension cord or power strip due to ONE outlet plug.

I have been on a dozen cruises (big and small) and have to agree that there was less for teens to do on this one. Part of the issue is that they closed down basketball and the sports deck at 5pm every night. Then all the activities like Keroke went to 18+at 9pm. So unless you were spending money in the arcade you were stuck watching the one moving playing. Creed 2 was excellent and we watched that together but Mary Poppins isnt working for my 13 and 17 yr old sons. And that age doesnt care about 80s or 90s trivia. We have never run into this issue in all of our cruises. It didnt ruin the trip but I was very surprised by it given we have been on Carnival before.

I loved Valor. And, my 9 year old grandson found plenty to do onboard.

We loved the valor. Easily one of the most prideful ships in the fleet. Camp ocean has a ton of activities for the kids. Try that next time.

Apparently you didn't research or read your fun times etc, to find activities for your child and family. AND..its clear knowledge that most of the ships only have one outlet and its encouraged to bring a non surge protected power strip.

I love the Valor. It's always great to do your research as well. Try a bigger and newer ship.

Did you miss the arcade, the kids clubs, the out door movies.......? Also the cabin sizes are pretty much standard and carnival has the largest in the industry soooo....
