Review summary

Overall for our first cruise we had a great time and have already booked our next cruise for July 2018 to go to Alaska. After talking to many people on the cruise we will be booking Carnival too.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Very fast process...hardly had to stand in a line longer than 1 to 2 minutes

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
BBQ place was not that great, and wasn't overly happy to have to pay $20 to have lobster and/or steak in the dining room. Tried many new drinks and food, it was overall good experience.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
The only time we went to the pool they steward was dumping massive amounts of chemical in the pool. when asked why he said a child had pooped in the pool, we were not willing to get in the pool due to the large amount of chemicals they poured in the pool as well as since it was not drained and cleaned.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Had a great time watch and participating in the entertainment provided on the ship. We especially loved the adult 18+ Comedy Club acts as well as the games that were played after the Comedy Club act.

Children's Programs

We didnt take our children

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Our room steward was amazing, he remember our names and what we liked, our room was always clean and ready to go no matter the time of day. Everyone was friendly on the ship.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The poop in the pool not being cleaned was really gross but other than that the ship was clean.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was nice, had plenty of room to store our stuff with closet space and under bed space to store our empty luggage.

Ship tip

Do not put your luggage outside your room the last night, keep it in your room so you can disembark faster when you get to your last port.

Ports of call

Galveston, Texas

Clean, fun, and good to go hang out a day or two before your cruise if you have the time.

Cozumel, Mexico

5 out of 5
Fun and Clean and friendly people

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

3 out of 5
Our excursion was fun, however, the place is kinda dirty and it appeared our tour guide was just as worried about the locals as we were, though he did try to hide it.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We were on the Empress deck, we kept our bags in our room so we could take them off ourselves which makes the disembarkation lot faster.
